Am i too late to suggest something? Hope not... Anyway, i would say you have to try the crispy "chicharon" of Carcar. It's one of the best delicacies here in Cebu and you would definitely like it. Aside from the above suggestions, Cebu has a lot to offer really. Next time you should come here and try all our delicacies

hi there. suggestions: 1. danggit or dried pusit (can be found in "tabuan") 2. masareal ( ground nuts shaped like a chocolate bar. it actually tastes good but too sweet so not too much) 3. CNT lechon 4. chorizo (tiny longanisa) enjoy! :)

I'm from cebu and the foodstuff that I usually miss now that I'm living in Manila are Otap (the best is Shamrock Otap), Guadalupe ripe mangoes(fresh not dried), Chilen's Chicharon, chorizo, and masi (glutinous rice with sugar and peanut filling.)

hi syoti, I can recommend DANGGIT (sleek unicornfish) this is popular dried fish i can say it's the best or OTAP (it's a oval shaped biscuit with sugar). The secret for the danggit is to cook it and make it a crispy one with a hot servings of rice don't forget to dip it with vinegar and chillies love it. enjoying eating soon.

i would say that the original lechon cebu is a must try! Where do you live? If your friend can't bring you lechon cebu, you can actually order it and have it delivered (flown) to your place! We've done that a couple of times already.

hi syoti! I am from Cebu and whenever I go back home in Laguna I always bring danggit and dried squid (i recommend the thinner one or what we call here "tarorot" because its more tasty), otap and the "chicaron" of Carcar, this is one of the best 'chicaron' i ever tasted...and of course dried mango.

hello syoti, I was born in Cebu, and lived there for 16 years. What i missed from that place is "binangkal" "pus-so" ,rosquillos, barquillos, frances (kind of bread) Not to mention otap, danggit, squid, dried mango (you can buy those from mall) And my favorite "pinyato" (peanut coated with brown sugar) not the usual sugar coated peanut that can be seen or bought here in metro. One more... "tira-tira" ....so much foods Have a good day and enjoy whatever food your friend will buy...have the tasty tablea (tableya) for champorado (yummmm)

Hello there! We had a neighbor who is a native of Cebu and last summer, he gave us boneless danggit, otap (Shamrock) and rosquillos( Shamrock) as well. They all tasted so good and I missed them so much especially the rosquillos which is very tasty and milky in taste. Piaya is also good and I also love to taste it again. Good night!

hey friend, Here's my suggestion, you can also let him buy OTAP, this is very famous in Cebu, especially otap from shamrock. Yes dried mangoes are also good for snacks and deserts. So enjoy it! Likewise, you can also try thier Bebingka, its taste is delicious unlike any other bebingka made from the other places. Thanks.
