It certainly does! And you can see from the responses that people from different countries can have very differing views on a common topic! It's interesting!

Its a nice place make new friends and get new ideas.

Yes, the internet is the greatest mixing pot of them all. It crosses all barriers and cultures and crosses all borders and you don't even need a passport for that.

One day while browsing ICQ for people to talk to I came across Gerrit47. He was from Holland. I said to myself "what are the odds of my meeting him?". I guess they were quite good because we have been married for 8 years now. The internet is a great tool to meet people who you may never have had the chance to otherwise meet.

I have made a lot of online friends, but they are mostly from the same country as me, maybe MylLot can change that :)

I would say yes it does bring ppl together. The internet is a really wonderful invention to help do this. I love coming here to Mylot and talking to all of you. I like to read the responses especially from those in other countries. Sometimes it helps me to understand their area a little better.

yes this is true, we establish friends in different countries.. like me, i now have a best friend in portugal..

Yes, I believe the MyLot does and has brought people together that we would not have come into contact with. The internet has done wonderful things so that we can meet and talk with people all over the world and make new friends and learn more about other cultures and countries.

You're right. I'm new here and when I logged on this morning, I was pleasantly surprised that someone had requested to be added to My Friends. It made me feel good and was a great way to start the day. I'm having more and more fun here every day.
