Increasing Pageviews

Hi all,
my blog is getting in shape now. I have been getting 50-60 visitors on a daily basis for over a month now. I know this is still nothing as far as traffic is concerned, but this is a big-small achievement for me. But the pageviews suddenly shot up to 408 yesterday and today it has already reached 500. I don't have any idea how this had happened. Some days back in the last fortnight I had got more than 100 views for 3 to 4 days continuously.
Is it because I ping my blog and update it regularly?
But my main concern is the adsense revenue - honestly. Though it has crossed the 1000 mark, it did not increase. How and what should I do to gain anything significant as I am going steady now?

I noticed an increase a few months ago with traffic to my blog, but when I checked where they were coming from many were bots, so it really didn't help much. I do hope that you start getting more and more people (Not bots) visiting soon. I really need to start updating mine big time. I updated today a little but not much. I think the more active you are with the blog, the more traffic you get. When I was posting daily on my blog I had a good 20 to 50 visitors, when I couldn't get online, and didn't update daily I went down to about 2 visitors a day.

what is bots? I donno this. Can you please tell me. What should I do to get more real visitors then? Have any idea? Can we exchange backlinks and follow each others blogs to improve the chances of getting visitors? What the subject of your blog? Mine is Bollywood.

Yeah the host for my forum has it so I can access the visitor logs through the cpanel. I find it interesting when I see who has visited and where all of my visitors are coming from, but there is also a bot log, that shows where most are coming from and what companies they are through.

abhi, now you got your answer. Pmbhuntress09, you explain perfectly about the Bots. I don't know about free wordpress/blogspot stats about bots and human traffic but hosting services have some plugins which identify all the traffic

that's good..you are getting that much visitors. You must know that visitors are not only humans but there are bots and users counted towards visitors. Because you are pinging at various websites may spiders and bots from different websites are coming instead of human that's why GA is not improving even after high traffic so try to get human traffic.

but pinging is also necessary, isn't it? How can I know if the visitors are bots and not humans? By the way what is bots?

Hi again,
Apart from my personal blog, where I may be getting bots, I write for a site where there are real people and real visitors and it also has a good Alexa rankings. From that site alone my pageviews crossed the 1000 mark. Still there is no increase in my earnings from eCPM. How come?

Thatz great. I'm trying with many blogs,but in vain. Now, i've stopped updating the blogs too and entered sites like mylot for earnings. what can i do to increase my earnings,can u please suggest?
