I've been working for years. My last salary is ten times bigger than my first salary. But the bigger I earned, the bigger I spent. Now, if I look back and count my asset, after years I only have a motorcyle and insurance. Gosh..where all the money gone? Pretty ironic, consider I'm working as a Finance. I think i'm not a good money keeper :(

You show the characteristics of either the Alimentive type or the typical Thoracic type. I wont use anymore jargon and will try to make it as simple as possible. I think you're impulsive and very emotional about certain things. I think you love having a good life. You love to eat good foods and you love to wear good clothes. May be you have a tendency for charity as well. Your spending comes more with your impulse and not with reasons. You are very open minded, dynamic person. You are kind and generous in certain matters. You were never stingy though you've tried hard to be. It's all in your nature. But you should change it just to avoid being bankrupt. You should change your outlook just a little bit. You take pleasure in variety of things, but in order to make your happiness more sustainable you should review your spending pattern. Try to save some money. Carry least amount of money with you. Don't allow yourself liquid cash. Open a fixed deposit account or a recurring deposit account and set aside a portion of your fund in those accounts. Before buying anything, ask yourself, "Do I really need it?"

Well my husband runs his own investment company so we are very much money smart type of people. Its so important to save 20% of your pay-check each month for retirement or a rainy day. We have savings, retirement fund, stock investments etc.

Once I thought I was good with money. I made a good income. I can afford all I need without my parent's money. I even supported my brother education. But it was few years ago. Now with bigger salary, I realy need to control my budget. Increase the asset. Thanks for the response, teamcholent :)

Most of my money go to my daughter's college education so I think I can save when she's earned her degree. As of our daily finances I think I'm good at it, making both ends meet, buying things we need and want.

hello, I am still a student , I don't have earning yet but now I am looking for work through Internet. And now It is good to find MyLot. By the way you earned more than enough for you right? but what are the things that you spent more? hmmm.. I am not familiar with how much you spent but me as a student I usually half my money to my expenses and half of it are I use to keep.. So, I have extra money everyday because I used to keep the half of the money given by my parents because sometimes there are projects I have to pay So, I pay it even without telling to my parents because I have my own money. That's it. That's how I spend my money. Good luck to you.

Yes, I earn more than enough for myself. Thanks God, I still have insurance. My insurance combine with investment. At least I still have money in there. Well if you graduate later and start full working, continue to keep half what you earn. Nice to me you, tiina05.. :)

I don't think I am as good of a money saver as I should be. I end up spending more than I would like. It is hard to save money since things cost so much more than they used to. I do try to save when I can though, as I live alone, so I have no one to help me. I am determined though, to do the best I can to save money. Good luck to you, and happy mylotting.

It is a human nature that when we have no something we just strive ourself to attain that whether small or big, so this attitude has no limit even it goes beyond if you buy this whole world. So first thing you should do is set confine on your mind regarding the money devise the appropriate budget and spare something for savings. Saving and attitude of saving will rectify your problems not only in the monetary but in all the aspect of life.

This is a trap many people get into. As their income increases, they add more and more commitments every month; vehicles, gym memberships, payment plans for furniture or bigger houses...the list goes on and on. Even once you make money that you would have once considered rich, you have no money leftover. I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me when my income increases. Right now we are straining to make the most of every dollar and have very few extras (and no luxeries.) When we are in a better place I hope to remember these lessons and save some of the extra money.
