I had severe shortness of breath until I could not breathe and ultimately to the hospital and the doctor says I suffer from asthma. But after the X-ray the doctor said it's not asthma, but just stress alone. shortness of breath but it is often the case when I dust my sneezing and runny nose and coughing up phlegm eventually become short of breath. Is it true shortness of breath can be caused by stress?

Aha, it's been 2 years I do not exercise, before I was always active in gymnastics, but now it is not possible to follow the gym with my friend, yea you're right, maybe I should start again even though by doing it alone at home.

You can try what I am using. It's called Anion Napkin. I remove the green strip on the middle of the a pantiliner (which they also have) sank it into water pitchel which I drink every day. Strip's effect lasts for about 24 hours then I change it the next day again. It has removed my chest pain and a bit shortness of breathing which is not that frequent on my case. Try it too.

Yes, shortness of breath can be caused by stress but there are usually other reasons too. Stress can affect the breathing rhythm by causing the diaphragm and the chest muscles to not fully relax and this causes symptoms similar to asthma (which is when the body cannot breathe OUT enough). Allergies can often exacerbate good breathing (and if you often sneeze and have a runny nose it sounds as if you may have allergies). You can be mildly allergic to things you eat and drink as well as to pollen, fungal spores and chemicals in the air you breathe. You might find it worthwhile to have some tests done on common things you might be allergic to. Unfortunately, this kind of test takes a long time with many tests in order to eliminate things you are not allergic to and to identify those which might be causing even a very mild allergic reaction. As an example, a small proportion of people are very allergic to nuts, fish, wheat protein, dairy products or certain fruits (tomatoes and strawberries are frequent culprits) - sometimes it is actually life-threatening if they eat the smallest amount - but many, many more people can tolerate these things without realising that they have a mild allergy to them. They may realise that they feel less 'well' some days than others without even thinking to connect what they have eaten on that day with how well they feel. Your body knows what things are good for it and what not and it actually TELLS you - except that most of us are too busy (and even too 'selfish') to listen. The first thing to do, therefore, is to learn to listen to what our body is saying. This is something that can take time. We need to practice being humble and quiet; to learn to forget what WE (our conscious mind) want or crave and to be open to what our body - that temple in which we live - is telling us about itself. Be aware of how your body feels after every meal, after every exercise and whenever you demand something of it. Soon you will learn when it doesn't like some things but rejoices in others ... and why.

Yes, its true, if you want to know whats stressing you, then ask few question to yourself- and do the below. 1. list down the thing which you are worried of (5 things each, work, home, finance, friends, others) 2. Which thing from the list can be handled by you 2a.then priorities 2b.start asking question on each things. (how to solve-what should be done to solve and do it) 3. which thing from the above list cant be handled. so simple you don't have to worry and leave those thing on god! hope it helps-as i follow these steps when i am totally out of my mind.

What did your physician told you to take? Do you have a history of asthma? If yes then don't self medicate but just take into consideration the medications given to you. Proper exercise and healthy food is a way to a healthier life. You should also need to know what causes you for allergies so that you wouldn't be suffering from breathing. If you have hypertension, then chances are your heart is in trouble which causes you short breathing. Keep away from fatty foods and high cholesterol foods. To avoid having phlegm, just drink normal temp. water, not cold water. Taking cold foods such as ice cream and cold sweets also produces phlegm and your spleen is affected by it. Just a suggestion, take hot soup before eating your main meal. Chinese always include hot soup in daily meals because it is good to activate the spleen to convert the food you eat into energy. Have a healthy lifestyle now by considering eating veggies and fresh fruits.

Hello gengeni, Oh, i never thought that shortness of breath can be caused due to stress. You might be having a severe case of anxiety, i am no doctor but i think it's an issue about your anxiety. May be you need to consult someone else rather than a doctor. I think you should practice yoga too.

Shortness of bresth can come from so many different medical conditions. some are easier to determine and treat than others. the best way to cure this ailment is by seeing your physician and abiding by what is suggested.

Stress can bring about a lot of illnesses because our immune system is down. Try to boost your immune system by taking healthy and balance diets, lots of veggies and water. Avoid things that stress you out, learn how to relax and you'll difinitely kick out that shortness of breath.
