Do you hate getting up in the morning?

Who else just hates getting up in the morning? Every morning I just can't get up...it's so warm and nice in the bed and when I think that outside it's -15 degrees Celsius and I have to get up, get dressed and hope that my car starts and go to university...it's just too much, I would rather stay in my bed... To top all that today my car didn't start up...my battery went flat, I had to call my brother to pick me up and he took me to the university, he then got a puncture so he had to change his tire...so a really good day I had today, I should have stayed in bed :)) Who else is with me??? and ofcourse why do you just hate mornings? and those who don't hate it what do you find good in them?

I sometimes hate it too, since I have to wake up everyday at 5 am to go to school - but now that I think abut it, I'm pretty thankful that I can still wake up every morning and live my life. It's a new and exciting day anyway..

I've insomnia. From few days i've been falling asleep in afternoons. So ofcourse i never want to wake up. Specially sleeping after months is such a great feeling ^^ and also we've winters here. So who would want to leave a warm cozy bed alone.

I think almost everyone hates to wakeup early in morning and specially in winter but we all know that it is good for our health as well as for our routine life. I always getup early in the morning and i think everyday this is the toughest decision i made. Everyday i talk to myself should i wakeup now or still stay in warm bed.

Hmm.... why don't you try hot chocolate or hot coffee in the morning? It will help you to boost your energy and warm your body.

Well, sometimes I love getting up in the morning but sometimes I don't. here are the reasons: * love getting up: - because I want to meet someone I love - because I want to hang out with my friends - because it's my first day to school, work, social community. (Anything new makes me on fire) - because it's my birthday (or my parents and my best friends birthday) - because it's a new year * hate getting up: - because I have a sweet dream - because the weather is cool - because I am on holiday - because I have so many work to do in my office (at this moment, I wish that this is holiday) - because I have lack of sleep what about you?

Hmm, I don't really have a list like that but I like to get up early in the morning to go skiing where I know that I'll freeze :)) but I like it. I like to get up if early if I have a long drive ahead of me because I love driving. In summer there aren't a lot of things that can really get me out of bed. I don't really like my birthday so that isn't something that would get me out of bed. But you have a nice list there :)

No, i love mornings. it's just a matter of adjusting your biological clock to waking up on the same time everyday. I look forward to getting up in the morning to prepare for work. i start it by sitting upright on our bed and praying. That keeps me perked up afterward. It's as if i have a weapon for the day. However, when i wasn't able to sleep so as to catch enough sleep, i feel a little sluggish and feel like not waking up, but just have to because of work. So, when that happens i call the office and files for a leave of absence for at least half day because i hate working with not enough sleep. It will make me snappy all throughout the day and i don't want to ruin my day by being that. LOL

"Sitting upright on our bed and praying" seems like a good idea. I seldom do this lately. I think I should try to do it again. my office didn't permit me to absence for a half day. This means I should have the whole day for the job.

I'm definately not a morning person. I have worked night shifts for the past 8 years. It takes me hours to really wake up. Right now I'm in the yukon so its cold here. -10 today It is always warm in my room so I don't have a problem getting up. also i work 20 feet away from my home so its only a quick cold dash. Where do you live that its so cold?

You're lucky, well the house is worm here to, each room is set to about 22 degrees Celsius only the outside temps are what's killing me and I have to drive about 8-9 km to University and about 5-6 km in the city to my office. So I have a long way. I live in Transylvania (a part of Romania, but I'm Hungarian...it's complicated), I live close to the Carpathian mountains.

I used to, but after a while I got tired of being a night owl and missing all there is to see during the day. I felt like I was sleeping my life away so I get up before 9 every day now to make sure I am not missing out on life and all there is to it.

Well I just love to go to bed at about 5 am :)) But I hate getting up even at 10 am. I even work better at night time.

I am afraid there will be serious health implications in your working and sleeping habits. I don't know exactly what are those adverse effects, but I am sure there are. Sleeping the normal way, and working the normal way, I mean, working hours and sleeping hours, is always advantageous than sleeping and working like you do. Trust me.

I think night shifts where designed for me, only in my line of work (webdesign) there isn't really anything like that. A good day to you too.

I hate waking up in the morning because it really is an effort to get your body off the bed specially this times when the weather in the morning is so conducive to sleep. What I like about it is the realization that God has given you another day to spend it with your loved ones. So I love the mornings, it is just the getting up part that I don't like.

I hate getting up in the morning specially if is too early like 4 or 5 a.m. because staying longer in the warm & soft bed is so tempting.I always like to extend my waking hours to about 30 mins., can't resist the comfort of being in bed.I hate getting up but I don't necessarily hate mornings 'coz it's a gift from God & that we should always be thankful that we are still alive to see the new day & mornings for me are signs of hope for a new life but it's just that lying on my bed a li'l longer provides a feeling of comfort & satisfaction.

This is such a good question. I can totally understand why you don't want to get up and out of bed in 15 below weather. I used to live in a very cold climate and the cold air could cut you in half. Who wants to deal with all those cold weather issues in the morning. I think it is very normal to experience what you are experiencing. As much as you hate to you, have to get up and make things happen. Maybe you'll win the lottery and then you'll have the choice of staying home. Before moving to a warmer climate, I looked into purchasing an automatic car starter..this way you can come to a toasty warm car instead of freezing your --- off. I must say it is comforting to know that I don't have to deal with all those cold weather issues anymore, but I do miss certain aspects of winter snowstorms. I don't think I'll ever go back...I would have to be stupid to trade in my warm weather for the cold weather.

The only time I despise waking up in the morning is when an alarm wakes me up because of school or something else. It just ruins it for me because I would be enjoying my sleep only to be woken up by an annoying alarm. Now that school is out for the holidays I usually don't wake till around 11am. Its so much better because I wake up on my own time, and I feel nice and rejuvenated. I am also a night person just like yourself and I appreciate nighttime. sometimes I don't go to bed till very late, around 2am. It is true that weather plays a role in people's enthusiasm to waking up. I hate leaving the comfort of my warm bed in the morning, sometimes I just lay on my bed for a little while before I am forced to get up. I hate it and I wish I could stay there forever, but unfortunately, I have stuff I need to take care of so I don't have much choice.

That's life, as people like to say it. Wish we could change that :)) I don't know why some people don't like staying up late and getting up late... Yet it's good to know that some people all over the world are just like me :D

I like nights more, but I find that I wake up early in the morning and usually stay up until about midnight. Kind of odd for me to do, but most of the time I'm bored the whole day so no fun!

I don't always like getting up in the morning. Some morning, I really don't mind getting up. But there are still those mornings when I just do not want to get up, and i just want to spend the day in bed. You are definitely not the only one, whose been in this kind of situation.

Well I do have a few days in a year when I do like to get up in the morning but those are really rare. Most of the times I just want to stay in bed.

I don't really mind getting up in the morning. When the weather is nice and cooperative, it makes the experience so much nicer. When the weather turns colder, getting out of bed is not so much fun.

Try -15 or -20 degrees Celsius ( 4 or -5 Fahrenheit) for cold... I hate going out in to that cold in the morning. I don't have any trouble going out at night or during the day.

I only hate waking up when I have to wake up early or when it's cold. Having to wake up early means I can't rest enough and I will have to get into an incredible crowded train and suffer backache again, so I always wish I could stay more in the bed. When it's cold it's difficult too, as it's a really bad feeling, and my body dislikes very much to lose the warmth of being under the blankets. However, if I can wake up late and it's warm outside the bed, no problem

I don't mind getting up in the morning, but I hate getting up in the early morning. Anything before 7:00 am is horrible for me. I think I just hate alarm clocks. If I wake up that early naturally, it's fine. If an alarm wakes me up, I'm grumpy for about an hour. I rarely naturally wake up that early though. I agree with you. No, I don't want to leave my nice warm bed and go out into the cold! I think the only time I like waking up that early is if it's because of something fun. For example, getting up early to travel for a vacation. Waking up for every day things like work just makes me want to hide under my covers. Sorry about all the car troubles! They can be a pain sometimes.
