Yesterday I didnt get to see my kids much. My daughter went to school and immediately after school was over she went to her fathers house. So today there is a big snow storm and school was cancelled. I am so happy! My daughter will be home now all day with my son and I. I get to spend the whole day with her! So many parents complain when they they're kids are home from school because they love to send the kids to school to get away from them. I am not like that. I cant wait for summer when my daughter will be on summer vacation and I will have every day to spend with both my kids doing fun things.

I know exactly what you mean. My oldest daughter will be starting nursey in September and I dont want her to go! I want to spend as much time as possible with my children, I would love it if I couldnt be apart from them! Many of my friends cant wait for their children to go school or nursey but i am the complete opposite.

What is the reason you cant stay home with her and have to send her to nursery school? Do you have to work or do you just feel pressured to send her to school? Everyone disagreed with my choice not to send my daughter to preschool but I refused. I wanted to spend as much time with her as I could so I did not send her and taught her at home. She knew way more then the kids who went to preschool did. I think the main thing about preschool is just to get them socialized but I did playgroups all the time.

My health visitor told me they have to go as we have moved to a different area. Well I have taught both my daughters alot more than many children know at their age. My oldest is 2 and a half, she can count past 100, she knows her alphabet forwards and backwards, she can do simple math.. I dont see what nursery could actually teach her, she can also read small words. My 1 year old is getting there too copies her sister at everything so Im not entirely sure that they would go well at nursey.. Like you I do the whole playgroup thing but Im sure they would both do fine at home with me until school

Your daughter sounds very smart! My daughter has always been very smart. Even kindergarten was boring for her as she knew everything they were teaching her already. She could read at a much higher level then kindergarten as I taught her to read when she was 4. Schools like to demand that kids go to pre-k because they get money for the more kids that they have doing the programs. You do not have to send her. You dont have to send your child to school until they are 6 I believe. Until then you can keep them home and teach them and not have to worry about getting in trouble. After that though you have to enroll them in school or homeschool them. If they say that you have to enroll your kids in preschool tell them that its against your beliefs. Dont elaborate just say that. Even if its not against your religious beliefs they have to accept that answer and cannot push it because of the thing between church and state.

It doesn't bother me when there are 'snow days' as we call it here. The parents that work have to make quick alternatives though. Those days are usually baking cookies....the kids are out in the snow playing. A nice day all around.

Yes the parents who work are the ones who have to worry about snow days because if they call off work all the time they could get fired. I dont work and if I could keep my kids home with me everyday all day I would. But my made me send my daughter to public schooling last year so she goes to school during the week.

Haha you are a mother after all. Perhaps a very loving mother, you're young and mothers at your age are very selfish. Your kids are lucky to have you, hope you have a great day with your daughter.

Thank you for saving that I am perhaps a very loving mother. I love my kids so much. They are the reason I wake up in the morning. Well I am 27 and moms at my age should be good mothers at that point. I became a mother when I was almost 21. I was a great mother then. Probably even better then I am now lol. I was more strict with my rules but now with my second child I am more lax.
