It never seems to add up when one relies on stories. Time is meaningless to God. From the big bang, the universe was designed to unfold in such a way God's children would be able to figure it all out. Creation is pretty complicated stuff for us ants. We will just have to keep on working on the answers. Ok course, if you just accept holy books, you won't even search for answers. How much could you really discover??? It's a shame. All the secrets of the universe stare us in the face. It's a test of intelligence. Can you see??

Hello snm and welcome to myLot. I hope your experience here is a goods one. As for your question about God making the world in 6 days. Yes He could have done it all in a instant but he thought about us His creation. He worked those 6 days and rested on the seventh as an example for us. We are to work 6 days and spend the seventh day resting and worshiping Him. The week of seven days has never changed over time as the monthly calendar has..

I don't suppose you've ever heard of the word parable before? Do you really think the world was created in 6 days and that HaShem rested for one day? Are you a literalist or a child?

Science tells us that God took billions of years to create this world and it is still not perfect and it would take another billions of years to change.
