So I am only 18 years old male and I weigh 225 pounds, Which I am embarrassed by but try not to show it. Last year i weighed 210 and was able to lose about 30 pounds. This year I can not seem to motivate myself to eat healthier or exercise. I hate being overweight. Not once in my life have I known what it feels like to be skinny. To not have to wear large shirts and be ashamed of my body. Never been able to take off my shirt and be proud of my body. I am even starting to get some small stretch marks and feel like I will never be in good shape. I really need help on how I can boost myself to lose the weight. If anyone has any ideas on tips and stuff I should do I would greatly appreciate it, I am tired of my body

There is no easy way to lose the weight, except for your drive to be healthier. I was borderline obese about five years ago, now I'm a bit overweight, not that much. What I did was PERMAMENTLY changed my diet - not go on a diet, but literally changed my eating habits. I didn't eat the junk, just stuck with healthy sandwiches, three square meals a day, and walked more thane I took the bus. The process was slower than a fad diet, but it's worth it when you can lose the weight slowly and keep it off. The good news is that a younger person can lose weight much more easier than us older folks can! :-) The thing is with exercising is that I don't do workout. I walk more than I took the bus. House chores melt away 200 calories per hours. Get into the habit of climbing stairs instead of taking the elevator. Small things like that incorporated into you daily routine will perhaps be a lot better than going into a full-fledged workout regemin and failing miserably because it's that "one extra thing" you have to do, or fit into your schedule. Be warned it'll be a major adjustment. But keep reminding yourself that your health choices will pay off in the long run, and that you'll feel a lot better doing so. You will become less lethargic and feel cleaner on the inside. You will take the pressure off of your knees and other joints in your legs once your weight goes down. That will preserve the cartelige (spongy tissue between the joints to absorb shock) for a longer time. Also with the daily exercise of bending, lifting, and movement will help strengthen your stomach muscles thus taking pressure off of your back muscles. I can go on, but I won't do to space :-) Just telling you my personal experience, is all. Best of luck! :-)

Obese - Obesity is not healthy.
Just look at yourself at the mirror and see how unsightly those excess bulges on your body are. Also think of how you are putting your health into risk by gaining too much wait. Put a photo of a sexy girl near your photo and see how ugly your appearance has become. I believe that will motivate you to lose weight.

There are a lot of great online communities out there that you can use to talk to other people who are going through the same things that you are. One of those communities is www.sparkpeople.com. You can also join the Beachbody online community that offers a chat room, buddies, and workout groups to join. Beachbody is ran by the makers of p90x, hip hop abs and other workout programs. You will have a community of people like you who are in need of motivation and access to some of the best known trainers in the business. On top of the great online community that Beachbody offers they also give people the chance to win prizes when they login and exercise. You can find out more on beachbody at www.instantnewbody.com. The journey to losing weight is not one that is won over night. Small continuous steps will help you achieve your goals. One thing that a lot of people do is expect too much right away. Instead of saying I want to lose 30 pounds. Keep the 30 pounds in mind as your goal but focus on losing it in small steps. Say this month my goal is to lose 5 pounds. Then when you lose the 5 pounds then you say this month my goal is to lose 7 pounds. If you focus on achievable goals first you will reach the bigger goal that you have in mind. Good luck to you on achieving your fitness goals.

Hi! Just motivate yourself to eat healthier and keep in your mind that "I'm doing this for me." Just remember that being obese is not healthy. If you don't want to eat healthier foods, try searching an alternative way to lose weight.
