I'm watching the IPL auction right now..and wow the top gunners Ganguly & Lara no one bid for them...they are past their sale by date i guess...even Dravid & laxman barely manage to get auctioned but at their base price almost...wow this has come as a surprise to me atleast for the likes of Ganguly & lara.

Well I hope Laxman plays well for the side he is bought. When he played for DC, he got injured in first edition and second edition, he was not given chance. Dravid did play some good innings for RCB but this time he will be playing for the struggling Rajasthan Royals, let us see how he performs. I am not surprised that Ganguly and Lara were not picked up by any franchises, simple reason is that both might be legends but they are not playing international cricket from very long time and one cannot take risk on veterans.. One more day is there for auctions, we have to see whether Lara or Ganguly is picked up by any team.

Actually I am not really surprised that there are no offers for Ganguly and Lara!! What has surprised me more is Swann who seems to be in the pink of his form. But the fact that the English players did not turn up for an IPL might be playing in the minds of the club owners!! Cheers! Ram

Lara was expected, he has hardly played any competitive cricket. I feel that RR & Pune have benefited from Rahuls & VVS purchase. Since the teams are bidding for next three years, they are a skeptical about investing on older players.Players like Rohit & Kohli may be big name by next IPL.
