New Season of American Idol

Well, January 19th is the start of the new American Idol season and with new hosts, I wonder how good it will be? Do you think that it will be a better or worse show with Simon Cowell not there? I believe that although Simon could be harsh on the contestants that he will be missed and that the show will have lost some of its' charisma with him leaving. I will be anxious to see the talent that they find this year and I will enjoy the talent that people think that they have when they can't sing at all. The first few episodes of the search just amaze me at the people who come out and really can't sing but truly believe that they can.

I'll definitely miss Simon. Simon is American Idol, don't you think? But, I'll still check it out and see if it's any good. Could be better. Who knows? Besides, like you say, it's all about the talents that will be discovered through the show.

Well I honestly will be missing Simon because he was usually on the money with his comments. I believe the show will not be the same and I think it will lose its staying power this year. I will try to watch but I just don't see it lasting much longer. To many changes and without Simon it will just not be the same. Unless Steve Tyler is going to be rude and tell it like it is, which I doubt. Jennifer Lopez already has said she can't be mean or critical, that she can't do that to the contestants because she has been in their shoes when trying out for things back in the day.

I believe that Jennifer Lopez is a weak link as a judge and I can not say that I am impressed with Tyler either. I believe that you are right in saying that the staying power is gone. I know I have only watched a few episodes this year- just can't seem to tune in.

Thank you for the best response mark. However, I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised my the judges especially Jennifer and by the talent this year. Tonights show was crazy exciting and I'm really liking it. I just wonder if Simon is missing it or not, lol lol because the talent is really unbelievable!

hi carolscash I will miss S mon as he added a bit of humor as he winced when truly awful singers had the audacity to try to win there. They must some of them be tone deaf for sure. I really sort of enjoyed Simon and hope the show will still be as great as ever without him. I wish I could get a chance downstairs to get to see American Idol instad of umpty nine cop shows or some other crud. I loved CSI but some of the others do notg measure up to American Idol.

Well, have you watched it this year? I have only watched a couple of episodes of it and I can't say that I am impressed at all. I don't care for the new judges and I just do not feel that it is as good as before.

This show is great all the way from the begining to the season finally. I have been a fan since Kelly Clarkson one the first season of American Idol. This show is a show i wait all year long to see and its a must watched show for me. I know they arent going to be getting a new host this year but will have a couple new judges this year and am excited to see how it turns out and i think it will be just as good when Simon and Puala were there. The first couple shows of course are the funny ones and then there are the people that amaze you of course and the show is just really good to watch and possibly to be in as well. Have a fun time watching the show because i know i will be having my fun watching it.

I can't really say what will happen... I hope they are good judges though and not too kind to the wannabes. Someone has gt to tell the people the truth, if they can sing or not.

That was what I liked about Simon. He was honest with the ones who could not sing and he didn't seem to be blunt about it. I believe that you should always speak your mind and not hide feelings. I do not like the new judges as I thought that I would.

I am not really looking forward to the season without Simon Cowell and Paula. Those two really did make the show enjoyable. Like you, I do enjoy the first few episodes.....people making fun of themselves....I guess some of them do know they can't sing, but they just wanted to be on Telly or something.....

Simon and Paula added to the show. I really believe that Simon leaving is a bad decision especially after watching a few episodes this season.
