"Memento mori"

Memento mori is a Latin phrase translated as "Remember your mortality", "Remember you must die" or "Remember you will die" - literally". Do you have any comment about this phrase. What do you think about our ephemeral life? Do you believe in any life after the one we live now? Thanks for your comments. PD: I heard this phrase in a black metal song, and I was really interested in looking for the meaning, and now that I know what it means, I like the phrase. What about you?

That's a good one friend, I really learned from that and would be sharing it with my friends, it's a fact that every one forgets or just does not want to talk about, maybe I would print it on T-shirt or write it somewhere to remind me

Yes, I was hoping to do the same. Or maybe buy a t-shirt of Avenged Sevenfold. There are t shirts of one of their songs called Seize the day, that means the same that "Carpe Diem". Both of these phrases are good. Memento Mori, Carpe Diem

An old gladiator saying from the time of the Ceasars "Edite, bibite, gaudete, nam cras moriemur". Eat, drink, rejoice, for tomorrow we will die.

I do not agree with that phrase. My life is based against that phrase. I say "Love, be friendly, smile, forgive, for tomorrow we will die"

Not all of them are satanic. I'm a christian, so I listen to Christian metal, specially metalcore, detah and black metal.
