How do I delete this from my computer? Can I?

When you go onto display on con trol panel, you have your choice of wallpapers. I have a Comerica Park picture. In December, I thought I'd look to see if there was a Merry Christmas wallpaper. I found one and downloaded it on my computer, thinking after the holidays I'll just switch it back. It's back on, but while it's starting up, for about 30 seconds, the Christmas one comes up, then switches to Comerica park once it gets to my desktop. I thought maybe I could right click on it and the option ot delete would come up but no. I don't want merry Chriistmas coming up all year. I know I could reinstall windeows, but I'm not going to do that.

Sounds like you may have downloaded something with that Merry Christmas theme you had. You need to find it and manually delete it from your computer. Search your computer for it by title.

Cool! Glad to hear you were able to get rid of it. ty for the best response mark! Woohoo! You may want to clean up your registry now as well. Microsoft has some tools right on their webpage. It is either this one: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/scanner/eula.htm?scanner=default&goback=%2fsite%2fen-us%2fdefault.htm&redir=true Or this one: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm Your registry gets bogged down with bits of uninstalled software. Deleting something doesn't mean it is entirely gone off your computer. Your computer will run faster too! When you get rid of the extra junk that is no longer needed on your hard disk.

Also, to be safe, you may want to run some security software such as Spybot search and destroy, and SuperAntiSpyware. Whatever spybot does not find, superanti often does find. There are several free programs that help rid your pc of unwanted stuff. Run a couple of them at least, to be on the safe side. There is not one single program out there that can find everything.

As EvrWonder said, Not necessarily. As i turns out, what Rosegardens suggested was the answwer. I did a search on my computer. it was titled 894 in the choices of wallpapers in display. At first I tried desktop, no results. Then I tried locl disk C and there it was. right clcicked right from the results box and hit delee, then went to recycle bin and deleted it from my computer. Gone!
