She still has unopened gifts!

A friend of mine still has unopened gifts in her living room. Thay are left over from Christmas. Now the gift wrap has been ripped off. But the boxes themselves aren't opened. I was a little surprised when I saw this. After all, she has kids. In my experience, the toys are opened as soon as possible! Wow. Anyone else have gifts to open?

Technically yes. I haven't opened the movies I got for Christmas.. hubby hasn't opened his movies he got. Actually, he got a movie LAST year and he still hasn't opened it or watched it yet, mostly because I'm not interested in seeing it with him. Kids gifts? No.. they were all opened before lunch on Christmas.

Yeah me and my husband had movies from two years ago still not opened...but my brother borrowed them recently and opened them all.

Well,i think very likely it is because that she has known what was in the boxes,and she don't need them right now.
If i got a gift which can't put into use right now,and the place in my home is not big,i will choose not open the boxes either.
Or maybe she want to give them to others because they are not suitable to her family members.

Wow...Maybe they already know what they are and so just haven't finished opening them. Or maybe they were grounded from them and will get them later when their mom feels they deserve them? Or maybe they are waiting for someone to come so they can open them while they are there so it makes it more special? Me and my husband didn't do Christmas this year, been a hard year. So not even a cheap few dollar gift were we able to get for one another...But when we are able..we do act like kids and tear into them as soon as possible...and no gift gets left behind..well, unless we know that the person will be there soon and we have gifts for them as well..then it is just funner to open them at the same time.

We still have unopened gifts in my house as well. A couple of toys that my daughter got this year, that I just don't see her opening any time soon. One is a snow maker that I didn't want her to have. Dang thing will make a mess that I will hafta clean up lol. Another is her zhu-zhu pets. We just had a mouse in her not too long ago, and I told her that I might mistake her toys for mice and stomp'em good lol. Finally, she's got a Princess and the Frog Barbie doll. Now, usually I would let her play with a barbie doll, but the thing is just so cute and by the time she gets it out the hair will be all over the place and ripped out. I just want that doll to look cute as long as possible. But the next time she asks about it, I will probably let her have that one.

Wow that is a little weird. Nope no gifts left to open. Even now I'd rip that stuff open and have opened the box, if not the same day then the next day after that.

Very strange! Maybe she is saving to open them until kids get tired of playing with the ones they have out of the packages now. Or maybe they are a collectable type gift that she is not planning on opening I would definately ask her bet she has an interesting answer
