Due to road condition, I have one extra day off again

I didn't go to work yesterday, neither majority of my co - workers too. Yesterday, the weather just severe enough, no one dare to drive out there. Today, although it wasn't snow again, but the road condition wasn't any better. Although people spread those sand - salt mixed particles on the road, it just might not help much better. Many cars still park on the roadside. It was just too slippery. I called my work several times this morning, they just told us to pay attention to the weather forecast and updated information. Until now, I think that it is impossible to drive, so, another vacation day for me. I just hope that the weather will be better tomorrow then.

hi, road condition is always understood, even your work type is in operation, because if you still go for that, you will only put your life in danger, so its ok to rest while waiting for a good condition of road.

How I'd love to have such an extra off day. Will that be counted as your leave or will your salary for that day be deducted? If its the latter then of course its no fun. Otherwise I'll hope you get another day off . Enjoy the day.

It becomes a happy vacation day if you are being paid while not able to go in to work. Outside of that it certainly is not fun. When commuting to work and weather is that bad you need to be cautious with safe driving decisions. As work will be there the next day, and attempting to driving to work in bad weather is dangerous. Enjoy your day off.

I live in Pennsylvania, and they are calling for massive amounts of snow over the next week. Snow is fun when your kid, When your an adult its nothing but a big pain. Another thing if these employers would just give the employee the day off or come in later, There would be a lot less accidents not to mention the snow crews could get there jobs done a lot quicker. They would probably make more money in the long run anyways. My Wish Is to live some place warm all year long, like Costa Rica.. probably just a stupid pipe dream of mine but I think it would be great... Anyone want to come??
