Do Not act Mr. SRK, you did it with full intention.

Hi Friends, Yesterday I read that SRK is trying to take DADA back in team, not to play but considering some other opportunities. Today he says - "Dada is like a younger brother to me and I want to win more games together,". If he is so much concerned about DADA, why he did not think that earlier. Why is he doing all this, this is not a movie where he can say some emotional dialogs and viewers will cry for him. SRK Says - the decision to drop the former Indian captain from the Kolkata Knight Riders team was taken with a very heavy heart. NO, it was done with full intention to dishonor the great player. I think SRK is scared and is trying his level best to placate Kolkata public and save his franchise. This is no way to treat a great player. Look at the sendoff that Ntini (SA Player) received. Can we Compare that to how BCCI and IPL teams has treated one of our best captains. He is acting in real life as well. Your views? Thank You for sharing.

ya indeed dada is a hero and all, but to SRK his team is what matters him the most...a good knight riders team 1st and then only dada.SRK knowingly or unknowingly didnt buy dada because he is well past his prime and doesnt have the aggression that was with him befroe. no, ganguly is not the same ganguly anymore. and so, SRK didnt want to waste millions on a player who is not gonna contribute much to the runs...so why take him???but on the homeground, dada is considered as a hero and all, so ppl will be naturally agitated of this. but all i can say is that SRK's decision to drop ganguly is not wrong. thank you.

Yes, one IPL team originated from Kolkata and DADA excluded from that is a BIG insult for Kolkata peoples and for DADA himself. Every player cannot be Sachin so Ganguly is not like sachin but he is good enough to be part of IPL 4 team. Thank you for sharing.

The thing is other than sachin, most of the great players are not playing for there home team. Lexman was not picked up by hydrabad, dravid not by banglore, kumblay become mentor, yuvraj not for punjab,Gambhir not retained by delhi. Why there is not so much criticism for this all. Why they are criticising kkr for not taking ganguly. There are 10 franchise and none taken him. So who do you think the problem is with?

i do agree with my fellow mylotter here. if they were indeed thinking about not including him in the team and only want him in the mentor role, they should have let him know about that. how can he be humiliated in all 3 reauctions and then calling him as brother? may be its time for kolkata public to make sure KKR remains UNSOLD in IPL 4

I am sure KKR is not going to make any difference this time as well but that might be worst of all the seasons till date. SRK is just acting like he does in the film but that does not work. There is differenec in reeal and real life so just think on that an ddo not act. Thank You for sharing.

Ajay i dont think that is correct. I am sure they are going to make a better performance this year than any other year. They are a better team now. They have some good batsman, allrounders. The only department that is week is bowling. If bret lee plays then bowling become also improved. Also the bowlers they picked up are one who do disciplined bowling.

The simple thing they could have done is letting Ganguly know that they want to have complete new team so they might not bid for him. If they had informed then it was up to Ganguly to decide what he wants to do. Whether he wants to be in the auction or withdraw from it. Or he could have simply talked to other franchises to know whether he would fit into their scheme of things. But KKR management didn't do that. They left Ganguly in a very embarrassing position. I don't think anyone will do such things to a 'brother'! Not Shah Rukh of course. They should at least have the decency to inform Ganguly about their decision before the auction. Now they are trying to cover up their mistake. It only shows how immature and inexperienced the KKR management is in handling this kind of tricky decisions or situations. Hope they learn from their mistakes and will manage things properly in future at least... Happy Mylotting!

yes, Gangulay could simply block himself from being available for bid and saved himself from all this insults. I hope that IPL would not be just a money making machine and players like Ganguly will get chance to play and prove their worth in the team. Thank you for sharing guys.

Well Srk is a very good actor and in case he is caught up at a wrong end of something he always reacts like this in his typical melodramatic style.Ever since he entered into cricket his decisions has been weird to say the least. He made Mcullum captain of the team who has never captained any side before , why just because he is an attacking player? also he must have made many cricket fans upset when he arranged for a talent hunt in Srilanka !! ,Is India short of talent that you are going for a talent hunt in SL and select a mediocre Pakistani bowler just because he has some pace and he is 7 ft tall.My apologies to any SRK fans in case my comment has been hurting, but i dont think its correct that you make weird decisions and when someone questions it you just want to get away by getting emotional and quote some histrionic dialogues to present yourself as nicest human being alive.Since its clear that eliminating Ganguly was a business decision and indirectly he is being made the scapegoat to find some reason for debacle of KKR in all three seasons then be it, why all this emotional drama. As we know that Srk has huge fan following ,all over India including Bengal who love his emotional performances in movies , so its easy for him to manage them by yet another performance in real life. However he cant convince that he didnt do this unintentionally to people who understand and follow cricket, but then those people doesn't really care about IPL so i am sure SRK will come out of this mess yet again with his image of impeccable human being.

I love his films but that does not allow me to accept everything he does. There is no doubt about his fan following but Kolkata people definitely loves DADA more than SRK. Thank You for sharing.

I completely support the decision of KKR. Whether the exclusion of ganguly deliberate or not it is very good. It is not about emotion or anything. Emotion cannot make you win matches. For the past 3 season ganguly was there there in the kkr squard and lead it for 2 ipl. Still it didnt reach even the semis. So it is better to go for a change. There is no need to criticize kkr or srk for that. The other 9 franchise also didnt take ganguly. How do you consider this. The thing is the auction is for 3 years. And they want some one who can play 3 years. Also if ganguly is taken the whole thing will become different. He has to be made the captain of the team. He has to be played as an opener only. All this thing come in to the consideration fo ipl franchise. Also recently he is not playing any matches also. His strike rate is around 101 in ipl. So when considering all this it is better not to take him by kkr. I know ganguly is one of the best player along with sachin and is a good captain.See what kumblay do even though he performance was goo in ipl3 and his captency was excellent. Why there is not so much emotion with kumblay.See he was a better performer than ganguly in ipl3. I think it is better for ganguly to be a mentor of kkr.

I know SRK loves money and that is what made him to execlude Dada from IPL. He did great decision as a business man but he should have respected such a great player. Anil decided himself not to play in any format and that is the reason he is not talked much about IPL but Gangulay was ready to be part of this Mega event. Thank You for sharing.

hi ajaysingh, as i read you discussion, i would like to remind you that same issue happend in royal challengers Bangalore, they kept anilkumble for auction and he realized and he confess that he wont be playing any morein ipl,the same thing i expect from DADA too.

Perhaps DADA did not expect to be unsold and that is the reason he was available for bid. He was banking on KKR to take him in, if SRK could just tell him before auctions it was easy for Dada to take decisions. Thank You for sharing.

Keeping Emotions away lets looks from SRK's view point. He has obviously suffered huge losses in the IPL first edition. He took the expected decision to change the entire team including the head coach. If Gangully was really a good buy for his bid price, why did no other team even bid on him ? Now, if SRK has talked about mentors role; even this is a business decision. SRK must have realized that with the negative publicity, home matches might not see large ticket sales. Much hype was created by TV channels over Gangully. Most of these experts also would have not bought Gangully had it been their own money at stake. Let's face it. Gangully has been great for India both as a batsman & Captain. but he is not getting any younger & by the looks of it, he is not making any new friends either.

I am not saying that SRK should run his business in loss and he has all the right to make good money by whatever way he want but he could save DADA from all this insult. He could simply tell him that we do not have place for you so better you talk to other teams and decide if you want to be available for bidding. This was not a biog deal. Thank you for sharing.
