hi srinivas2036, When I was in elementary and high school, I found holidays very boring too.How I wish classes would start soon so I can spend my weekdays with my friends and classmates. However, once the school starts and assignments and projects burden me a lot, I wish vacation would start soon. Now that I am already working and at the same time, studying too, I no longer feel bored during holidays. In fact, how I wish we can be given a one month holiday.Being a teacher is not an easy job because I not only deal with the subject I am teaching but also with some of my students which has a problematic behavior. For your question, If I were in your shoes, I won't feel bored. There are many things you can do during the holiday season. You can travel, do some shopping, visit old friends and many more. As for me, if I will be given such a holiday, I will spend it by means of reading and working online so I can have money whenever I need it.

you are welcome srinivas. I hope you will have a great holiday. Enjoy it because once you are already working, it will be difficult to enjoy the vacation because you need to work to have some money. Sometimes, there are demanding boss too that might not allow you to have holidays. Just enjoy what life is giving you.

dear I think if we have much more happy with our friend in compare to our family then this situation arises. So a person should miss his friends but should be more happy with his family also...

Personally for me, it all depends on what you do with them, and how you plan your time whether or not they are boring. Maybe what you need to do is find some things that you enjoy to make them more enjoyable. That does not always mean spending a lot of $$, that just means finding some things to do that will take your time that are things you find Fun. Like maybe do a Craft, or learn something new, etc.

Holidays would be very boring if you do not plan activities as filler your holiday. My advice, try starting with the activity which became your hobby. If me, in vacation time, I will spend it with visit the places of entertainment which I had never visited or if my financial condition does not allow me to travel, I'll do activities like reading old books my collection

Hi there, This time of season can be pretty depressing and boring so I know what you mean. Heck, For the past few years we stopped putting up a Christmas tree and exchanging gifts this was after my mother passed away, So For us its just another day. I'm sure some of your high school friends will be home off Christmas Break as well maybe you can connect with them. Keep yourself occupied myLot is a great site to get stuff off your chest plus get good advice.. Maybe call up an old ex-girlfriend if you have one and go to the movies, Basically anything to pass time, my friend, If you ever want to talk I'm always around. Your Pal, Larry

Dear brother, i just have completed my schooling life. So sometime i also feel so. You must call you friends and tell them to be connect through net. So you must say them to have a tour to somewhere. I did that and felt good. Al the best.

As as student you work hard in term time. Maybe you should go off traveling overseas in the holidays. You might be able to get a cheap flight and then stay at a dorm in a youth hostel. Alternatively you might be able to get a job whilst the holidays are on. When I was a student I went on a trip overseas in the summer holiday that was 60 to 8 weeks long. I bought a cheap flight to Tel Aviv and then looked around Israel and Jordan. Then I got a package deal to Kenya and used it to go off to Nairobi. From there I did a five day safari to the Masai Mara. I went backpacking in Germany and Austria. Good luck with making your holiday less boring for the next 20 days.

Well of course holidays meant to enjoy based on what you want to do. Some people would want to celebrate it alone to relax and recharge by going somewhere or to a place where they can be freed themselves from all the pressures and stress brought about by routinary work. But for some this is the season to have fun and doing outdoor activities out of town with friends and relatives. Some may just enjoy meditating and staying to a quiet place. It depends on how you will enjoy it. But for sure..holidays is for us to do what can make us happy.

Holidays wouldn't be boring if you plan ahead for what you are going to do on those days. There are a lot to do during the holidays. You can go to your relatives' houses and visit them for the day, if they are just within the vicinity. You could befriend your neighbors' sons and daughters and have fun with them. You could watch movies on tv, or if there is an internet at home , surf the net. Read books or you can learn how to cook the foods being prepared everyday by your mother. It's just a matter of planning ahead before the holidays.

I agree with what others have said about needing to plan the time a bit so you have some ideas ready of what you can do. Imagine you're back at school and studying... what would you miss? What would you wish you'd taken the time to do? Spending time with family, maybe learn to cook a new dish, check out the library and indulge in a good book, go for a walk and take some photos so you can upload them on the internet and show your friends, have a movie marathon, think back to any hobbies you used to have and give them another go (drawing, collecting things etc?). I often find it difficult to come up with ideas when I've got time off too, but then I think about the sorts of things I wish I could do when I don't have the time and realise that there are things I want to do whilst I can (even if that's just lazing in front of the TV watching movies for 10 hours straight!) Enjoy your holidays! :)
