Do we really need multivitamins? Does it help keep our body healthy?

THese days, many pharmaceutical companies introduce many new multivitamins and supplements to the people. They promise lots of benefits. But they also say "no approved therapeutic effects" which means that no doctor or reliable source proves that indeed it can help or heal people...Do you think it really helps? Or is it better for us to just eat and consume healthy foods?? http://ezinearticles.com/?No-Approved-Therapeutic-Claims-In-Herbal-Supplements---What-It-Means&id=775751

So you take vitamin supplements too, anyway its just add to your vitamin intake daily in case you have a deficiency with one.And yes its best if we eat more fruits and veggies because its the natural source of vitamins and minerals that our body needed.thanks for your time

If you are eating all kinds of fruits and vegetables (cooked as well as raw), then you really don't need any multivitamins. Nature gives you every thing that your body needs. But today right from childhood, children don't eat proper food specially vegetables and that is why there is always lack of one or more kind of vitamins and that makes the person weak and sometimes even sick. Give first preference to Natural healthy food and last preference to multivitamins.

Yes, I agree with you on that point.Eating the right food and living and healthy lifestyle is the best.No need for these vitamin supplements,in which most doctors don't recommend because there is no proof on what they are claiming. The best is natural, thanks
