I go to work daily riding a cab. It takes a big chunk from my budget and it is becoming difficult for me to manage my income. Is it wise to buy a car instead rather than keep on riding a cab? Many says buying a car is just a luxury. But somehow, I feel that it would be very beneficial for me to just buy my own car.

I believe it is going to help you, you wont be paying for a cab but will be paying for gas in your own car that you will like and enjoy better then riding in a cab. But then again who really knows you will have to get oil changes, tire rotatins get new tires and do maintenance on your own car and those days arent fun but its the luxury of owning your own car sometimes. You also wont be paying ona cab to take you everywhere and can be paying on your own car. You have to look and the pros and cons with this situation maybe writing them down and you looking over then will help you make up your mind. Enjoy your day.

Buying a car is not going to be called as luxury, buying a car that is quite expensive can be called luxury.I feel that owning a car is far better that riding a cab daily, its surely going to save a lot for you so what i feel is that you can go for it.

If you car is beneficial for you and it is utilized for work and not to hang out, then I consider purchasing a vehicle operational essential necessity. Now if you don't work and just have a car for going shopping or leaving it parked in the drive way, then yes I would consider it a luxury. The other flaw about utilizing a Taxi is that you have to depend that they will be on time picking you and if they are running late, that means you are going to be late to work. With your own vehicle you make you own schedule, you don't have to rely on anyone else. Taking a taxi can be a bit expensive especially if you are using it for transportation on a daily basis. I would really reconsider purchasing a vehicle even if it's a used one.
