We have had many foggy days here, it's gray, damp and cold. It's very hard to keep you mood upbeat when this goes on day after day. But for the last three days the fog has lifted in the afternoon. Everyone you meet has a smile, people laugh in the stores, all my animals are lying in the fields with their bellys to the Sun, even the Dog wants out to lay in the Sun. Worries of all kinds fade into the background. This is a wonderful gift from Mother Earth and it takes us humans outside ourselves to enjoy the blessings of the Sun.

That is definitely true, Savypat. Sunshine is a wonderful gift from the nature, especially in winter. We got a bloody coldness with -10? or over and biting wind. Luckily enough, sunshine showed his face during these cold days to keep heart warm. To enjoy the blessings of the sun. Best regards,

Sunshine has this power to uplift us. Give us new hope. Philippines is experiencing unexpected rains that's why it's a little gloomy here, especially here in Cebu. It's nice to experience what you've experienced, Savy. Hope Sunshine will bless us soon with his rays here in my place. =)

hi pat, as we get older, we tend to be more appreciative of nature and the things that it gives us. its been raining here every night and there was one night, that it rained dogs and cats and the water from uphill all rushed down to the road in front of my home and water started to get in when a vehicle passes on the road. the gust of wind made the rain water get in the windows and my floor is wet from it that i had to mop out all the water so that i stay dry inside. the rain came and went in a flash but it made me work several hours just to put things back in their position and to have a dry place. it made me happy to see the sun come bright and shining the next day. i was very welcoming. have a nice day. ann

I think sunshine is one of the most beautiful gift from nature. The way it gives vivid colors to trees, leaves and flowers is a view that one can marvel as one starts the day. But too much sunshine combined with humidity is not good anymore. And when u get it at highnoon, u might be unlucky to get skin cancer. I love morning sunshine, nothing can replace the beauty of sunshine on a quiet cool morning.

Yes, the sun is truly a blessing to all humankind. But because of global warming, it's effects have become quite harmful to some countries.. like ours. (Philippines) Good thing it's not that hot these past few weeks because of the rains. But our sun here sometimes can already cause heat stroke..

I love the sun although not when it's scorching hot but here the sun rarely shows, especially in winter when it's out I would take out my camera and take a photo of it or I will bask under its light

We are fortunate not to miss a day without sunshine in this part of the world where I live. But there are times I wish the sun is not too fierce which make living uncomfortable. When the sun is at its highest temperature during noon time, we are forced to retreat indoors otherwise we'll end up half baked.

Yes, the gray days can be kind of oppressive but they make us really appreciate the sun! On gray days my dog Cookie stays upstairs on the bed and Gus stays very close to me downstairs. On sunny days Cookie is more sociable and I part the lace curtains so they can have patches of sun to lay in. They're more playful on those days, too. I was just outside sitting on my back steps enjoying the sun. It's only 11° outside but the sun felt great on my face!

I can tell a difference in myself and everyone around me when the sun is shining. I am ready for some more of it here too.

I agree!! Whenever I feel depressed or cold I just go out (if I'm lucky) and bathe in the sun and feel ALIVE! It gives life, simply.

Yes Pat, sunshine does make us all feel good especially the morning sun, reminds me of John Denver's song " Sunshine" , only thing in the Philippines, sun light can sometimes become really hot from noon up and cools down again before sunset.

Yeah, when it's too cold we wish for the sun and when it's too hot, we wish for the rain. Sometimes it could get pretty hot here so most of the people wish it was colder here during summer. Well, it's great to have a fair weather most of the time in order for us to not be confused.

Yep, even on the coldest day, if the sun comes out and it's nice and clear, it makes everybody feel much better.

Yes that's why I love living in Arizona, it's certainly to hot but there's always sunny days to enjoy in the spring! I love rain and foggy days too, but I can imagine how gloomy that might get if you had that weather often.
