Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie came swooping in to save the day. He is going to find Obamas birth certificate to prove once and for all that Obama is eligible to be President. Well, he searched, and he searched to no avail. http://www.amnation.com/vfr/archives/018460.html A couple of days later, he says due to privacy laws, he cant release the information. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/01/21/hawaii-wont-release-obamas-birth-info/?test=latestnews yeah ya really cant show something you cant find. So I feel safe in saying that Abercrombie just stirred up a heck of a pot. so where ever you fall on the birth issue, I think this just exacerbated it. What do you think?

Abercrombie just stirred the pot, but it's never really stopped boiling for some. I'm not a birther, but I'm not happy either that the President hasn't just presented his birth certificate and been done with this issue. I seriously doubt I'll be voting for Obama in 2012, but it won't be because of his birth certificate...or lack of...he's going to have to change a lot of his ideology, policies, etc. before I vote for him and I just don't see that happening. Now, if "killing" the 2010 health care reform law comes to his desk and he doesn't veto it, I might think twice...

Yeah, I think he likes hearing "ObamaCare"... Well without letting go of ObamaCare, I doubt I'll be voting for him. In fact, I can't really think of anything he could/would do right now that would make me vote for him. Killing ObamaCare really isn't enough (and like you said, that's not going to happen). He'd have to undo the trillions of spending and since that can't happen... But I've been taught to never say never...so I won't say I won't ever vote for him. But there's 99.9999% chance I won't.

Only one word describes this man: moron. Is that the reason Hawaiians put him in office? So he can prove that Obama was born here? Geeze I hope not, but at any rate - great pick Hawaii. Really.

Well, that is what I said from the first time I heard of this bonehead - he can't release any document that Obama hasn't given permission for him to release. It doesn't matter what he did or didn't find. It seemed to me that it was a ridiculous assertion to make and bound to do Obama more harm than good in the long run. Now that he's basically not been able to say "I have seen the long form certificate" nor can he, due to privacy laws, release anything that he has hinted might exist ("it's written down in the archives somewhere"), all he's done is to cast more doubt on the existence of the document he swore to find. My question has been, why didn't Obama bop him on the head and tell him to shut up long ago? I can only guess that this publicity was seen as a good thing - either to draw attention away from more important issues or to try to stir up the "birther" debate again, hoping to marginalize the president's opposition.

Well I think it will be successful. I agree a bop on the head MIGHT help.

I'd heard rumors of this issue before he was even elected. I think they probably should have gotten to the root of the problem BEFORE he was allowed to run! I mean, I needed my social security card, birth certificate, and even school records before I was allowed to get a driver's license. I also need my birth cert and SS card to get any form of government assistance (including WIC). But I could become president without showing any proof of identity? That doesn't seem to make sense!

No sense at all. I was running for County Council here and had to provide all documentation just to get a petition.

For once and for all, there is NO HI birth certificate, since the monster usurper was not born there. Period. In 2004, the Kenyan Sunday Standard identified him as a Son of Kenya; he is actually a "son of a b----". So do his grandmother, the Minister of Lands, even wifey. My foreign exchange student's brother lives in Kenya and all know he was born in Mombassa, Kenya; we are a laughing stock! Timothy Adams, former senior elections official in HI told us there was never a HI birth certificate. I called HI (Lingle's office) myself over a year ago and it was considered a JOKE among her staff. But, again, in the Marxist/Alinsky and Muslim taqiyya tradition of distraction, deception and "justified" lying, this smokescreen has kept a foreign and domestic enemy, criminal usurper in the WH for over two years even though Congress and the Courts know the truth and have much evidence on their desks, including a Congressional lawyer, Jack Maskell's memo of 4/3/09 stating that O was NEVER even vetted. In July, 2010, the State Dept. confirmed he's a "dual-national". For Americans who choose to continue to be stupid, that means he is NOT "natural born" and can NEVER be eligible Constitutionally, legally to be president. Citizenship is traced through the father, and the requirement for president is TWO US citizen parents. Senior was a Kenyan National and Jr. is "OUT AT FIRST BASE"; it doesn't matter where he is born after he has FAILED the first threshhold test. And, so, after two hellish years of misery, murder, and excreting on the Constitution (lawlessness) our country is far down the tubes, perhaps never to recover.
