Did you regret some of the choices you made in the past?why and why not?

All of us have made choices in our lives and these choices may cause major or minor effects in our lives.We do have some choices that we think we regret or we know that we regret of making. For me, all the choices I made were based on a decision that I know that I thought so for a long time. I know that i dont have any regrets with the decisions that I made because I don't wanna blame myself I don't regret any single bit, and you know why, because when I made the choice it was only me who decided for that choice,no one else so if that turned out to be a wrong choice, then it's only myself that I have to blame no one else. I also learned one thing in life, life is what you make it, so I don't regret the choices that I make.

Generally speaking. No. It's like the house that Jack built story. Everything we are now is because of who we are and what we did yesterday. I am happy with my life now, and I would not be here in this life, in this situation, had I chose a different path. In the end I think even bad choices can work out.

Hi there!
I regret some of choices that I made especially this one. I regret that I ignored this person. I realized that he's the only one who can help me but the it was too late. He don't have time now. But I learned my lesson from it so its okay. :) Actually I have a lot of choices that I regret but there's nothing I could do so I just learned my lesson from the choices that I made and corrected my wrong choices so that I would be in a better situation. :)

Me? No regrets so far. I don't wanna think about what could have been even though sometimes I do. It will only make you step back which is something you can't do when everything is moving forward.

I quite surprise when you say that you don't have any thing to regret about your past choices. I'm sure that we must have some wrong choices in the past; and we'll regret about them. We can't avoid this.

Nice to hear that, although we all tend to make wrong choices sometimes.
Spur of the moment decisions sometimes add to making our choices wrong. So in every decision, we really must make a thorough analysis of the pros and cons of our choices.
But when we make wrong choices, we should not blame ourselves but instead take it as a lesson in life.

I like what you said Celeste, about not regretting the decision you made even if it turned out to be wrong. I tried to do that too. But sometimes the wrong decisions I made in the past came to haunt me. I felt ashamed why I let it happen and wondered why it happened in the first place when it was not meant for me. But, I am thankful that it happened what happened because I would never have experienced this new experience I now have.

I have made some really horrible choices back in the day and I can honestly say that I dont regret any of them EVEN THOUGH they were stupid and I knew it at the time. WHY dont I regret them? Simple..Everything Ive done, had done to me, chosen to do, been through, missed out on and so on has made me the woman, mother, friend, person that I am today and that person is amazing!

I do not believe in regretting my decisions. They have all been learning tools in my life. If I can share some of these with people I know then maybe they will avoid my decisions and choose better ones. Not all of my choices have been really great but I stand by all my choices and learned different.

i agree with you completely celeste. i like the policy of using my own head to make the decisions in my life. If i listen to somebody else and if at all that decision has any kind of negative outcome, i will be blaming the person who guided me to it and i'l be filled with anger and hate which i want to avoid.
sometimes, even though i might regret something i have done, i soon realize what i have learnt from it and either its a mistake or not it has taught me something in life which i am grateful for :)

Hi dear,
Even in my life so far, major choices pertain to my life and decisive and important choices were made by me only. We cannot say all will work well and it is not necessary also. Some of the choices were good and many few of them proved unfair also. As you said, it was my choice and I don't want any one to blame if it were bad. Also, some of the choice were immature as the age was of the same level. However, I never feel sad or bad on the choice because it didn't hurt me so much.
But many of my choice and decision related to financial dealings were utter failure and in the matter of finance, I need expert opinion, even though I used to advice others, and never get keep practical with my own life.

I was in a point when I regret something from my past. I made a wrong decision and I let it pass before making a choice. But I never blamed anyone for that decision I made. It was me who made the choice or decision. I just regret because I had wasted so much time which I should have done many things. But I learned from it. So, I need to move on.

Regret is worthless. I make mistakes just like everyone else, but I learn from my mistakes and the lessons and worth the experience. I met a girl who had a tattoo on her arm of an ambigram that reads "regret" one way and "nothing" the other. I really like it and have considered getting it myself, but I am not sure.

Choices are meant to be wrong at times. IF you make right choices at all time then you wouldn't be living life. YOu have to make bad decisions and learn from it. You just should regret it.
I got by the saying, "No regrets, only lesson learned". I'm gonna get that tattooed on my arm :-)

The only choice I kind of regret making is not going to college after I graduated from high school. I would probably regret it a lot, but I didn't find something I'm passionate enough about to dedicate my life to until this past summer. If I had gone to college then, I probably would have arbitrarily picked a degree. I don't think I'd be satisfied with that.
