I have a great garbage company. I set my three bins at the curbside and a truck lifts them and empties them. Now what's so great about this company you ask? Well, one week I had forgotten to set out the garbage and recyle bins at the curb. Come morning I recalled I forgot to set them out. Then as I dressed to go out in the frigid air to set them out, I see tracks from my cans to the street curb. The driver got out of his truck and took the bins to the truck and emptied them and he even brought them back to the side of the house. I thought that was superb service. Now, what was the best any company has ever done for you out of the ways of their normal service contarct calls for? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Wow that is great service. I had my car towed in the a service garage. I had some brake lines busted, the car had sat for awhile. They checked out the car, replaced 3 sections of brake line. Had to replace a tire and a battery. Plus add some gas and some gas treatment. They had troubles getting the car started. plus they had to put the battery on a charger, thats why the battery got replaced, it didn't want to hold a charge. They only charged me $200, I thought that was great. Thats where I will take my car when needed from now on.

I had AAA for the tow, but the shop would have towed it for $35, still not a bad price.

That's a decent price for all they did actually. Out here, just a tow is $75 at the least. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

hi Grandpa bob When we were still in our apartm ent I used to order groceries delivered to me and the guys were always so helpful as they put the things that needed refrigeration right next to my refrigerator and the things that went in my pantry close to my pantry. That saved me a lot of lifting and carrying and they always were so pleasant as they carried in all my groceries too. Afew just dumped everything in one big pile but most really separated everything and did everything but put them away for me. this service cost me an extra ten dollars but as I am limited as to how much I can carry it was well worth every penny.

That IS superb service! Most would just keep driving by. Someone shovelled my sidewalk a couple weeks ago.

Wow, I hope you give these guys a bonus around the holidays. My recycling guy, if he drops something, he leaves it. Last Monday he dropped a milk container and left it in the street..

I have had my garbage company do that, too! It is so thoughtful of them. I've seen the gas meter reader picking up trash on the street, which I rarely do in the winter because of the cold. I really appreciate him keeping the neighborhood looking proud.

We don't have meter readers anymore as it has all gone electronic now. They drive by with a hand held computer thing that reads the box. A small electronic digital reciever was installed in the house for the water and outdoors for our electric meter reading. Handy for them as they save a lot of time and money this way.' Awwh, how sweet and great for the garbage disposal guy to do that. Shows that some people actually care about whatever job they actually do. That they are caring nature people. We unfortunately do not have that type of wonderful customer service, as we are lucky to get the bins in one piece without dents and or put our bins at the wrong curbside. I live in the city and unfortunately we at our neighbor do not have helpful caring people like this at all.

Natural gas people are always willing to relight pilot lights and make sure everything is safely operating. I think they are all that way. I have a neighbor that works for the gas company, and he would do just about anything for anyone.

the only thing companys around here do is raise prices lololol. and thats the way the garbage men do at my sons house and they do it all the time. Here they have so many to cover am lucky that they set the can up right some are just thrown down in my block

That is so great that you have a great garbage company. Our garbage company would never do something like that.

Wow you do have good service. The last service I had to use that was extremely good was I had a new furnance put in...they did it the day after I called them...and came back to check it the next day to make sure things were rolling right along.

Our trash company has done that for us a couple of times but then they've changed drivers or workers and they didn't do it anymore - when we've forgotten to put out our trash can. The following week they had a really full can to empty too! lol But yeah, I thought my neighbor put it out and they said no they hadn't so I knew it was the nice men who picked up our trash that did it.

That's one of those times where you want to leave a thank you note or whatever cookies or something because of doing you a lil extra favor. You know so few people want to go out of their way to help someone else. I know I'd be pleased as punch if our garbage men did that for me. I hate my driveway in winter it's full of snow and sometimes ice and pulling that cart down especially after dark is not on my priority list cause I worry about my footing. Either way it was nice as I hate it when I forget to put it out and my cart was already full as then I spend a week trying to figure out what to do about this weeks trash.
