time you went out dancing? I think it has probably been about twelve years on New Years Eve for me. Do people still go out dancing?

Does a wedding dance count? If so, this past DEC 18 we danced. We are hoping for another wedding this summer, so my husband and I can go out again. LOL pretty bad, huh?

Dance is the best way to relax yourself. This is from my personal experience.I work in a restaurant and we have to deal with tremendous physical pressure. So for a change we go to disco and dance to the fullest and the next day we are as refreshing and charming as a blooming flower.

Omgoodness, i use to love to dance. It's probably been nearly 30 years since i have danced except here in the house by myself. Don't get around too good anymore so i'm afraid i couldn't go out & cut a rug anymore, lol.

I used to enjoy it myself. Sometimes just us girls would get out and dance together if we liked a song or felt like it. Those were the days.

One of my passions is social dancing, I love to dance swing, chacha, boogie and salsa. I think it was 8 years back since the last time I went dancing. The problem I face is that this activity can not be done alone, yeah it takes two to tango....It's so difficult to find an activity partner. I joined dance clubs in the two countries where I worked in the past, partners were not a problem because people of same interest just come. We were learning new steps, new variations every meetings. How I miss those days and it is also a very good exercise as the whole body is moving and it is really fun. Right now, in the country where I live now, I don't find this kind of group...:(

Maybe you should start one. Teach some and so forth. Nice to hear from you and hope you get a chance to dance soon.

celticeagle I think it was when I was in my late thirties and we went square dancing. In my late fifties or early sixties I ruptured a tendon that was not treated until it was impossible to operate so I have ended up stuck with a brace on my left shoe so I can walk as otherwise I would be walking on the inside of my left foot. so no more dancing and not much walking either. I am sure people still do go out dancing. My husband was not much on ballroom dancing as he had been brought up in the Seventh Day Adventists religion and everything that is fun is against their religion. reading fiction, wearing jewelery, going to movies oh and dancing thats a real no no. and no hamburgers which my husband loved and no coffee which he loved and no smoking , there I did agree but he refused to quit.So its been a very long time since we danced. I am' a widow now but still no dancing.
