What's for your breakfast?

At home, since we will be reporting to work as early as 8:00 a.m. , i prepare only instant breakfast. In the morning upon waking up, i would put the sandwich spreads at the table. Then, i would also place the breads, oatmeals , coffee and the like. Then, i would fry eggs or do omelettes or fry hotdogs. Then, voila , we have breakfast. When my daughter was still going to school (she's now in a dorm in a far away city) , i would usually cook rice and viands for her breakfast. It was indeed a heavy breakfast. But now, that we are all adults and working, we just prepare the above. What about you friends, what's for your breakfast?

Hi. SIMPLYD. I usually will eat cereal or grits. I like to choose whole grains and foods that will keep me fuller much longer. I also may eat nothing. I also love to drink a breakfast beverage as a pick me up during the mornings.

Well that's okay. As long as you have something to give you energy in the morning, that's breakfast. Me, i have eaten a full breakfast today. Since the rice cooker's rice is already done , i took the left-overs from last night, had them heated at the microwave and ate a full breakfast. Wow ! i am very energetic today !

Everybody in our house leaves as early as 7:30am, and having a big breakfast is always a must. So kitchen duty starts as early as 5:30am since I have to cook breakfast and lunch at the same time. For breakfast, I always prepare rice, eggs, and variands of different kinds everyday. If there is fruit then it will be part of breakfast too. Adults would have coffee and the kids would have hot choco.Sometimes I prepare just bread and sandwich spreads or oatmeal. But there are really times when I would get up really late, so I have no choice but serve cereals, milk and fruit only.

Actually, breakfast depends on the time you have allotted in preparing it.

During the week, when I have to take my kids to school, breakfast is usually instant oatmeal or cereal or poptarts. I don't have time to really cook those mornings. On weekends, when there's more time to sit around, we usually eat pancakes or french toast or eggs with toast.

It's faster and more convenient that way.

I normally have three choices: 1. if I won't have many carbs during the day, I'll make a bowl of oatmeal, with no sweetener but often with some raisins. 2. if I will have other carbs during the day, I'll make fried agges with bacon and fried tomatoes. 3. if I know I will have plenty to eat during the day or anyways more than usual I'll just skip breakfast, gotta keep things in some kind of balance.
