What do you think about psychics

When I was younger I used to see things I didn't understand it. I could see what was really going on around me but I would see things and have a scared feeling at the same time. I couldn't tell when it was going to happen because sometimes it was happening as I was having it , sometimes it was going to happen that day. I would have dreams too and the dreams would come true quite often but not always so I was never sure if it was just a dream or not.
When I was a young adult I prayed for me not to have it no more. It was very upsetting seeing bad things happen before or during it happening and not being able to do anything about it most of the time. Plus people didn't understand it they thought I was being evil for being like that.I didn't do nothing to be like that.I think I inherited it because my dad had it and a lot of his side of the family did and I felt that it was a gift that god gave to me.
I hardly ever have experiences like that anymore and I don't tell people about this very often so they don't think I'm weird. One day I asked a religious lady what she thought about psychics and she said that they are big sinners because they charge people to do it for them. I didn't say nothing more to her. I felt when she said that that to me there is fakes out there and there is real ones that don't charge people even though some do and I feel that it is a gift from god and if they do charge people to know things it isn't a sin still because everyone has different gifts from god like being an artist and they charge people to buy their art to me it is the same difference.

I have been fascinated by psychics as a child, maybe because of watching too much anime. To know the future and do telekinetic stuffs seemed to be cool. If I was given the gift of knowing the future through my dreams, well I would try to put it into good use without boasting that ability to others. Its hard to live with people around you that expecting you to predict what's gonna happen tomorrow. If something bad happened and you failed to tell them to this, blame will probably be focus on you.

If i am going to be a psychic, I want to be the type who can see the future, I mean i want immortality but its not as attainable at this moment (who knows scientist might find the secret to it) The reason why I want to see the futures its because I'm so obsessed to see the future and what technologies will occur. For sure we can see everything in out lifetime but if we can see the future we can see thigns beyond our lifetime.
I may also abuse the lottery..

I do believe in psychics. I guess people have different gifts and psychics have one of those very special gifts. Science has explained a lot of phenomena but still there are matters in the world which I believe are beyond scientific explanations. The world is vast and filled with mysteries. There are things unseen by the naked eye.

Thank you for responding. I think you are definitely right on there being things that are unexplainable in this world that happen I wrote a discussion question about that on dejavu on sometimes someone looks like someone I know and I know I've never known them before or going some where and the house looks so familiar like I've been there before and I know I haven't or lots of times when people are talking its like that situation happened before to where I can tell what they are fixing to say because it's like it happened already but I know it didn't. Things are weird. Have you had any dejavu experiences? Have a good day!

I do believe there are real true psychics, people that have extra sensory perceptions. The police use them in crimes sometimes also.
You actually are very lucky that you spotted this in yourself. I'm sure it's still within you, but you are chosing not to use it, but it's there. People have a fear of the unknown, so they don't know what else to call it other than evil or you're a sinner. The way I look at it, is that it's a gift that was given to me. It would be bad to abuse it in any other way other than for the good.
Many people everywhere have ESP but don't even realize it. Everything to them is a coincidence,..not so. I find it fascinating.
I took a class in ESP years ago and enjoyed it immensely. We had all kinds of fun and did all kinds of games, but the best part was the way the teacher explained how it worked. This is where most people get confused and don't understand the aspects of it, so they call most psychics fakes.

Your kids might develop this later on, and like your other response, it comes in different stages. Some only have a touch of it, but it can be developed. I think that is most of the cases. With a little practice, it develops.
People also think that you have to be correct all the time, not so. The mind only relates to what it knows and what it's use to seeing. I'll give you an example really quick on what I'm talking about. In my class I took, the teacher would always put a closed box on her desk, could be big like a shoebox, or smaller. We had to guess what was in it by the end of the night. One of the boxes contained a necklace that had beads on it in the "shape" of elbow macaroni. I didn't guess it was a necklace, but I did guess elbow macaroni. This is how the mind perceives things that it knows and you're familiar with. The teacher was excited that I guessed this and said it was right on. To other people that don't understand this, I would be a fake psychic because I didn't guess a necklace. So that's what I mean when I said most people don't understand the science of it.

I think what helped me spot it was that my dad had the gift too and he would prove to me that he had the gift.There is so much fakes out there that it makes people doubt the real ones and some people don't believe nothing that they haven't experienced themselves. My son had some game that wasn't supposed to be an esp game but the card had 2 sides to it and you knew what was on the 2 sides and you guess which one is against the forehead. I said it wrong the first time because I figured out that I was seeing what my son was seeing then I started saying the opposite of what my mind seen then I was correct all of the time which he thought was wild. I never told my kids that I had it when I was a kid because I didn't want to influence them or them to pretend they had it.
I would observe them though sometimes and when they would say something that sounded like they knew something they shouldn't I would ask them how they knew.I wondered but it never went any where . My kids don't have the gift.

I use to go to what we called fortune tellers a long time ago. I think it is a gift if people can really see into the future.I guess it could be a curse to in some ways. I don't think most of the ones i went to could really do that.

Thank you for commenting. It would be interesting to go to those shops and test them on things they wouldn't know. I know there is so much fakes it would be hard to know who would be real and it probably is expensive to talk to one and it be a fake. I haven't actually seen a psychic shop before.

Psychics are freaking awesome, I know not all, of them can deal with their parents but if they can have a good use for it, It would be great. I do know some Psychics hates their powers and sees it more as a curse than a gift, I can see how hard life would be if you see spirits everywhere, even in times you were alone. I know there are many types of psychics, some of them dont see spirits but they can see the future and some of them are telepathic.

So it is some sort of a Mild state of being a Psychic? I actually encountered ghost many times but I dont consider my self a Psychic yet because I dont see much of them and I haven't seen any of them for years. i can still feel their presence but I just ignore them like they dont exist.

I have seen and heard ghost before too but only because the place was haunted. I haven't anywhere else. If I did see ghost all the time wouldn't mean that I was psychic if I couldn't see what was going to happen but Their is some psychics that see ghosts all the time too.

for bigots everything is a sin
if you say it's not a sin then they will say something else is a bigot
so don't worry what they say about you and don't waste too much time with them
I know I don't
a shift will happen this year and the opening will accelerate starting March 2011
concentrate on nurturing and developing your psychic ability
the ability to 'see' is one of many things required to go through the shift and to survive the transition in 2012

I don't know if I want to believe such things but if prophets existed a very long time ago, I don't think it's impossible to have similar people nowadays and since, I believe in prophets then I would probably in one of the present if I get to meet one personally. I believe in individual and unique gifts and having the capacity to know something that is about to happen is probably one great gift that should be very carefully used.

There are people throughout the world who are given the gift in the paranormal. Unfortunately the majority, if not most, are not recognised nor guided. It is said that 1 in 20 has some psychic ability. 1 in 4 are exceptional, in the sense that they can do extraordinary things like astral projection. As far as I understand it they do not get the same abilities.
Misconceptions arose when those who are not well gifted think that they can do more than they actually could. They make claims which cannot be proven, thus giving psychics a bad name.
if you had been guided you could probably have your skills honed, and be able to do a lot more.

Some people hardly have it at all so they don't even know they have it.I think your right to that I might of been better if I was trained into understanding it better. There is a lot of fakes out there to try to get rich which makes it hard for people to believe that it is for real.

I do not think that you are weird or a sinner. I think that there are many fakes out there that do charge money for it. I think that God does give us gifts, and it all depends on how you use it. I myself do not listen to psycics as I do not feel that most people can find out who is faking and who might be honest about it. There is too much room for interpretation in this topic. But if this is how you are then do not let people get to you over it. There are many artists that get a bad name because of other artists. Be who you are.

I never really know how to take psychics. i don't know that i always understand or accept their visions. There is so much to take in. Believing is always your first thought. Most of the real Psychics preffer to hide in the dark and keep their powers secret because they still wanted normal life and they dont want to be accused of being mentally insane. I encountered ghost many times but i dont consider my self psychic.

Thank you for responding.I don't know if I would believe either if I didn't experience it myself. Yes, there is lots of pretenders which is sad. A lot of them pretend so they can scam people and it does make it hard to believe which ones are real and which ones are fake.

Even when the job market is sluggish, physicists get job offers, well paying jobs. Employers know that a physicist brings extra skills with expertise and pay accordingly. That's why physics graduates can wait for career salaries similar to those of computer science and engineering majors.
