I always loved the beach. I enjoyed the scenery more than skin dipping. :) Please share the best beaches you've been or you wanted to visit.

Hi! I'm from the Philippines, so I would promote our beaches. The first is Boracay. It has been a popular spot for tourists, both local and international. Boracay has gained such enormous number of visitors because of its white sand. I've been here, and I must say that it never runs out of tourists. There are a number of water sports or activities that you can choose from. Other famous and admired beaches are the following: Pagudpud is located at the north. It is said to have that 'Hawaii' look. Camiguin is known for its waterfalls and springs. El Nido in Palawan has its cliffs, species of coral, birds and fish to boast about. Siargao is the perfect place if surfing is your target.

Hi staria! You can pay in pesos in El Nido according to my sister in law who works there. Siargao?!!! I miss Siargao. That island is beautiful also for its beaches. You would be amazed that the town proper is also covered with white sands. hahaha...

Hi hlgmdt, I really want to go to Camiguin and El Nido. By the way, do we have to pay in dollars in El Nido? That's what I heard about it so far. On Siargao, nah I'm not really into surfing, but would like to visit the place too someday. :)

Wow, have you been to El Nido? Might as well use your connections! Kidding! :) Oh, I don't know that Siargao's town is also covered in white sand, that's interesting. Now, I would love to go there! :)

Boracay, Philippines will always be number 1 in my heart. I also love the beaches of El Nido, Palawan Philippines. It's just really serene and lovely. Like you, I prefer the scenery more than the skinny dipping part. I also enjoy the water sports like jet skiing. Internationally, I love the beaches of Goa, India. Although I've been there only once. But it's really gorgeous out there. One beach destination I would love to visit is Maldives. Looking at the pictures in the Internet makes me wanna cry that I haven't been there yet.

Hi. We're going to Palawan this summer. In Coron. I heard it's a dive resort but would you happen to know if it's as good a resort as El Nido?
• Philippines
4 Feb 11
Hi beamer! In Coron, you have to choose between inns and island resorts. The ones that are in the town proper are all inns so don't expect too much. While the island resorts, some are a bit high standard but not as high as El nido. The best island resort in the area are Club Paradise Resort and El Rio Y Mar Resort. Or if you can wait until next year, Banyan Tree Resort and Spa will be opening. This is a world class resort with different resorts scattered all over the world.

Hi Doggydimon, I think in Palawan more on island hopping right? Are there any resorts that has a beach front too? I was looking at several websites and all of them are situated in the rocky part of the beach. Please correct if I am wrong. Hi Beamer, wow! That's great. I wish I can travel at this time too. Sigh, I have two kids to tend so traveling is quite impossible now. Hi KaycharmedMD, don't be sad. Who knows you'll be able to visit those places in no time! Cheers! :)

Boracay has been the best beach I've been so far. The powdery fine white beach is unmatched and same goes for the crystal clear blue water. No one who reaches Bora will not say "I shall return." This place is really awesome so for me Boracay is the best.

El Nido Beach - Breathtaking view
And another very good place to find good beaches is El Nido, Palawan. It is also very popular and lots of people have already discovered its beauty. It offers a lot of new things. The view of the sea is breathtaking. You will not regret the beach resorts in El Nido.

Hi! I have to agree w/ you. Of all the beaches I've gone before, so far Boracay is the best and most pristine of all. But yes, Palawan beaches are clean and crystal clear too. But they are more into diving I think. El Nido is expensive really, so I guess I would have to save a ton 1st before I'll be able to go there. :)

I haven't gone to a lot of beaches, and those beaches that I've been to are all located in the Philippines. I've only been to Subic, the beaches in Batangas, Boracay and our small private beach resort in La Union. But hands down, it's Boracay that's the best amongst all of them especially if you just want to unwind and enjoy the scenery. But if you're into surfing, you should visit the beaches in La Union. The waves there are very conducive to surfing.

It's not really a resort that you may have seen or have visited. It's really a private beach with only two cottages for visitors. And yeah, the waves are big :)

Wow, you have your own resort? Amazing! Yeah, been to La Union and Zambales and the waves are really big round there, esp in Zambales. You won't know that you are already in the deeper part of the sea. Quite scary eh? :)

I have always been a beach bum. Unfortunately, I only had seen the local beaches here in our country. But why need to go abroad, when we have 7,107 islands waiting for us to discover. I have been to Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, Hundred Islands and Bolinao in Pangasinan, the beaches in Puerto Galera, Samal Island in Davao, Panglao Island in Bohol and theever famous white sand beaches of Boracay. But nothing can compare to the experience I had in Honda Bay, Palawan. It was my first experience at snorkeling and to see such numerous fishes just a short distance from the shore. It feels great to see the fishes dancing in the water. I want to see the Maldives. I want to know for myself if my cousin is right in saying it has the best beaches and coral gardens they have seen. I also would want to go back to Palawan and explore Coron and El Nido. Geez! I can't get enough of Palawan!

Wow! You've been in a lot of provinces. I really wish that I have the means and the time to go around our country. Our country is very beautiful, hope that the Filipinos will continue to preserve and protect our marine life. Sadly, heard bad news about smuggling of black corals. The government should raise their fines and implement a law that really gives justice and will cause the smuggler pain in their pockets and lives.

I love the beach of Boracay but it is too crowded for me. Given the chance, I prefer to go to Calaguas Island in Bicol. It is like Boracay without the people and the establishments. I also like the beach in Phi Phi Island in Phuket, Thailand. It is like a cross over of Boracay and Palawan. I would still have to see the beaches of Seychelles, Fiji and Maldives. They say that they are the best in the world.

Have you heard of their trash problem recently? too bad... I hope they can do something about it. Yeah! I've heard of Bantayan Island. Another jewel yet to be exploited. Resorts have sprung all over the place but it is still beautiful.

I have to agree w/ you dude. Boracay is too congested nowadays. I hope they will be able to maintain the cleanliness at least. By the way have you heard of Bantayan Island? I think it's beautiful, I saw some pictures of it from my friend (a blogger). Cheers! :)

Really? They have this trash problem there now? Oh, no wonder there's a lot of people coming in and out Boracay. And lots of establishments contributed to this situation. Yes, they say Bantayan is like Boracay about 10 years ago.

My favorite beach that I have been to is one in Samoa in the South Pacific Ocean. It has got white sand, green palm trees and an aquamarine ocean. Snorkeling the coral reef there is very enjoyable to do. Opposite it is a little island that I stayed on when I was there. It was in an open thatched building on stilts so I could feel a soft ocean breeze and hear the waves gently splash. I have seen the most beautiful tropical beaches are in the Seychelles. On La Digue Island I spent time on a little tiny cove with palm trees and granite rocks. All the beaches I saw in the Seychelles were stunning looking. Similarly I found some gorgeous looking beaches in the Maldives. I have just come home from a trip to Colombia. My favorite beaches there are Playa Blanca and Grand Bay. Wow!

Wow maximax8! You've been to a lot of places already. Good for you. I really love to travel too, but traveling been limited since I gave birth to my two sons. Maybe someday when they are big enough to appreciate places like that. Thanks for the comment, it is really helpful and wishing to go there someday :)

There are many great beaches around the world. In the United States we have many nice ones. I like Anna Maria Island Beach in Sarasota Florida. The sand is soft and white like baby powder.
