After lot of hue and cry and criticism from all quarters, Pakistan finally declared their captain of fifteen member world cup squad. Misbah Ul Haq will be his deputy. Pakistani fans can now give a sigh of relief and hope their team will perform to their potential in forthcoming world cup.

I feel they have taken a right decision in the end. Afridi commands respect of the team members. I doubt if the same can be said about misbah. Misbah's has always been a in & out of form player who has struggled to keep a permanent place in the team. He can be brilliant on one day & totally cueless on other days. At least Afridi will bowl his quota of 10 overs. He has also done a pretty decent job as skipper so far.

You are right srijshm, Afridi looks to be better choice over Misbah. Afridi has got a steady carrier and performs either with his bat or ball. When in full form with his bat no baller can stop him. Misbah at times looks a great player and sometimes just ordinary.

Thanks for contributing. There had been lot of news about Pakistan not declaring their captain although it is only 2 weeks for the tournament to start.
