It is the first time ever I drove a Nano, the world's cheapest car($2500). The car has got excellent leg room, has a good mileage(18-20kmpl) and above all it is cheap.

It's too bad they can't be sold in the US. I'd like to drive one, at least. It seems like a very good idea and maybe I could afford a new car!

Maybe in the near future you will get to drive the Nano @ US, it may not cost $2500, it will cost around $4000-$5000.

I can hope, but from what I understand, it doesn't meet US standards - whatever that means. It probably means that they're afraid that if it was sold here, no one would buy the big, expensive ones any more. :)

Dear Divinchris I think you need to recheck about your facts and figures! Though like many others I may also like he features of this car which are very basic in nature, but the price tag is definitely $25000 as quoted by you! Please go the site who owned this Car and he drove this Car extensively to have the idea about this Small and young lady ! He is happy with the Car and as per him this Car costs around Rs.2,50,000/- on road including all the taxes and not rs.!,25,000/- as most of us we believe in! So I don't think if you can really say that you have driven the Cheapest Car on the Earth after listening to its Actual price! Thanks !

Now it is clear that you never drove a car ! The car which I drove was a little over $2500, maybe another $500 more. That car was brand new and just delivered two days back. Your data for Rs2,50,000 could be correct, maybe the high end model will cost that much. I am talking about the cheapest model. If someone is telling something you should never deny things without knowing the reality.
