Hi kirtricks: Of course there's a way to control they way you dream. I remember that when I was a kid I used to have bad dreams but I don't have this problem anymore. My advices would be: . Try to do something relaxing before you go to bed 2. Donb't eat too much because that's a reason why some people have nightmares and 3. when you are in the bed try to think about the things that inspire you and make you feel happy and in peace. ALVARO

but it is said that if you drink milk before you sleep that may help you to have a sound sleep and a deep sleep which will help you to relax and be energetic and more energetic the next morning .. i think that is better so that we can have those tasty milk with some flavors or health drinks like boost or horlicks

Honestly, I don't believe there is any way to control your dreams. Your dreams are a collection of things that you've thought about and have happened recently. I have read that the foods you eat before bed can affect your dreams. I've read that ice cream before bed can cause nightmares. I actually believe that one because I know I've had some nightmares after having ice cream shortly before bed. Honestly though, I don't think you can control your dreams.

I find the best defense against nightmares is to kill the nightmare fuel. I don't watch horror movies, read horror books, go to haunted houses, or otherwise feed my brain with anything that freaks it out. As a result, I rarely have nightmares at all. This past Halloween I made the mistake of going to a haunted house and I paid for it with about a week of nightmares. lol So yes, I do think what you put in your head has a dramatic effect.

True, you may see something you didn't want to see.. but it doesn't necessarily mean nightmares. Usually when I only catch snippets of scenes of a horror movie I don't have nightmares. The haunted house was bad just cause you were completely immersed in terror the whole time... I couldn't avoid nightmares at that point. But I made sure to watch lots of happy children's movies and I managed to weed them out in a few weeks.

Actually the pons of our midbrain are responsible for our dream cycle. And we can't do anything much about it. Such think about something good and remember the almighty creator Allah then you will dream any scary things. So all the best!

Well there ia no definite way to do this... But i think having positive thoughts and trying to relax before sleeping would help. Studies have been dpne regarding this. Ans they say it would help. Of course we have no control over our minds while we are asleep but i think it's worth a try. Read something good, like romance or funny comics. Try watching good movies instead of scary ones. Just relax.
