Do you believe the world is going to end in 2012?

There are many conspiracy theories about the government and such. I personally am quite undecided about these matters. What have you heard about the end of the world?

The thing with the Mayan calender dates is....there are 2 dates. One is Dec.21/2012 and the other is Oct.28/2011. There are followers for each date, and by followers, I mean strong believers. I don't know what to believe. All I know is, this year has been very interesting during the first couple of months with mass deaths, a huge hurricane and floods hammering Australia, numerous earthquakes that are above a 5 on the scale, the very obvious and continuous magnetic shift, the oceans warming up causing huge break-offs of glaciers, and to throw a complete curve ball into the mix, an over-whelming amount of "UFO" videos on the rise. Sure, I don't think that the world is going to "end" on either of those days, but I have a feeling that things are going to get a lot worse around the world before they get better. We live in a pretty interesting time to be dealing with the "end of the world" dates in the next couple of years, so let's just pray that nothing to insane happens. Also, keep up with the sun's activities too. It's been doing some pretty crazy things over the last half a year, like having the largest filament snap. An amazing 700,000km filament...we're just lucky it happened away from Earth.

If you believe, or even if you don't, check out www.latest-ufo-sightings.net It's amazing to see some of the videos that have surfaced over the last year. Could there be a disclosure being planned? I wasn't a huge UFO believer until last November when I saw something that I couldn't explain. Not a plane, not a satellite, not a "falling star". It was unidentified and unexplained, flying, and an object...hence, UFO. Then, about a month ago, I saw something else while on my smoke break at work. Now, I can't keep my eyes off the sky.

I'm sure the world as we know it it's gonna end. We hurt our children, leave the elderly behind, kill animals, kill each other. I think those will die and go somewhere else and the choosen ones, the better people will stay and begin a new Gaia. (earth)

No more so than I believe it will end in 2013 or 2045...or tomorrow for that matter. The Mayan calender didn't predict anything and it doesn't "end", even Mayans today don't believe this nonsense.

There has been so many predictions over time and so many of them have not come true. So I am not too concerned about it ending soon. I do think however that if we don't start taking better care of our earth that it will one day run out of resources. But as for the world ending, if it is going to end I don't think it will happen in my lifetime, maybe not even my children's life time but it may just happen someday.

I think the world as we know of is colapsing. People are getting sad, depressed, we all want a better world. I think evil won't continue to come back reincarnating here, they are going somewhere else already. I don't believe on Earth exploding cause that would have happened to other planets as there are lands older than ours, but it will change a lot. Maybe massive deaths, things like that, but not the end

People have interpreted the end of the Mayan calendar as the end of the world, simply because the Mayans long count system has a 5125 years cycle. Not to stir any feelings in this but the Mayans are phenomenal astronomers and have calculated an accurate calender thousands of years before the western world. The interpretation of the end of the 5125 year cycle is that it will be the end of the world as we know it. With the climates shifting and global warming actually seriously acting up in the past few years (with all the unexpected white winters and scorching summers)and with the yellow stone park underground volcano building pressure that is a few hundred years late to erupt there is no way of telling, maybe aliens will come and visit the world and change everything we know. Mayans were known for that too. Closer to home the american presidential elections are in 2012, that could in itself end the world as we know it, maybe some terrorist find it funny and breaks into a nuclear missile housing, but that could happen any day. The point is that the end of the world can happen at any time, who says it wouldnt be in the year two million 2012?
