I know what are the popular topics here and if I use what is the popular topics here in mylot, I will do get lots of responses, but sometimes I wanted to take risk in hopes to find some people who shares that interest, sometimes its worth it because I get some luck with some people, sometimes its a disappointed and my discussion is ignored or I get useless responses who didn't read the topic but I just realized, I'm not afraid of taking risk anymore. I'm just following my heart now, If I get to find some people who shares a certain obscure topic with me here, The risk will pay off , sometimes you only need 1 person to have a discussion successful and enjoyable. The only negative side though is that Its either I can get responses to people who are just collecting points and be useless to the topic or it will be ignored. but now my patience is much stronger, Who knows after 5 months my ignored discussion about a thing I really love talking about will get some love. So people take risk, sometimes it pays off, Its boring if we talk about the same topic over and over again. lets shake this place and diversify the demographics so the lurkers will register to mylot not because of the money but because its a fun place.

there are a myriad of thoughts and ideas that can be discussion topics here in the site but sadly we can find questions and discussions of the same nature repeated over and over again. unfortunately though, some topics can generate heated exchange that many steer clear away from so as not to be involved in any negative vibe and jive. and then there are those taking risks. topics in the road less traveled, off the beaten track. yours, i find riveting and different in a sense that it captures a wide array of thoughts and provoking ideas. somehow when it's you, i know it's something you are passionate about. not just to earn a few cents. i may not be as active as i was... i may no longer start discussions... i may not post as many as before... but whenever i do, a part of me is shared. and i make it count. it may not be to the same level as taking risks, but i'm quite choosy... to the point of making calculated risks.

so what is all this thing about taking risks if you'll worry about not getting responses or the kind of responses you like if you talk about your fave videogames and tv shows? hehe who knows. you might get a few surprises. as for your job... having additional workload can be a positive torture. the company won't give it to someone who can't deliver. so think of it as a trust placed on your broad shoulders and capable hands. hehe

On my fave TV show, I got a responder but dayum that person just respond to whine against the show on how much she hates it but she keeps on watching it. Its just a let down because I love the show and i want to talk about the contestants, the drama and the strategy but all she does is whine about how the show sucks and complain and complain and complain, I want to talk about the contestants, do some prediction and spoiling discussion, talk about the events and everything but the only responder I got is a negative energy, so its not working... because I created discussion about the show not to defend it but to talk about the episodes and footing my shoes in the contestants. I got disappointments when i try geek stuff, since people are too casual.

Damn I have less time for mylot because of my Job, a person who have a similar position to me got fired and i was taking his Job too before he got his replacement. My workload just doubled. Wow promotion means lots of additional torture i am not asking for. Back to the topic , I was a bit sad because I have more time to non paying messageboards over mylot. Its Just that i was hypoed with my fave videogame and TV show but I cant enjoy talking about them here because I will get no responses.

What I mean about taking risk though is for people to make discussions that are not popular, to make them think outside of the box.

I do take risks, Capt, but I also like people to answer my posts when I do or comment when I ask something. It doesn´t always happen that way, here or in real life. So many times even our most humble questions are left unanswered. And we learn that even saying "hi" to someone is taking a risk. Do I comment every answer to my posts? I must confess I don´t. Do others comment or answer my posts or answers? Not always. Such is life!

I always give my best to make sure i responded back to my responders because it sucks to be ignored but I take my time. My brain have limits, sometimes it took me 3 days to respond back. I only stop responding back if notice the person already wanted to stop.
