Fruits is the best and the most important food that we should consume daily. I love eating fruits, and I thought fruits is just buying, cutting them and just popping it into my mouth. But its wrong notion of eating fruits until I read on internet that fruits should be eaten with empty stomach, to get the best benefits of eating fruits. How about you mylot friends, How do you eat fruits, do you eat them also with empty stomach?

Hello ifa, when I'm in college I forgot to eat my regular meal time where I got my stomach ulcer, but I had tried eating fruits on an empty stomach and gives me the best result. According to Dr. Herbert Selhton there is no such acidic fruit because all fruits including lemon, mango when eaten are all become alkaline in our body.

To me, I had try eating orange and pineapple in the morning for about 30 minutes or more before my breakfast and it gives me a nice result, not like before I eat pineapple after a heavy meal and I feel a little pain in my stomach.

I have heard that you should always break a fast with fruit. Or eat fruit first thing in the morning. For me, I really just eat in when I'm in the mood. I feel like if I'm craving an apple, my body probably needs an apple. I wonder how much of a difference it makes.

Hello, if you're craving for an apple and eat them with empty stomach it would be the correct way also because it will detoxify your digestive system thus supplying your body a great deal of high energy.

Interesting, I've never heard of this before. I usually eat them after a meal for desert and sometimes, I eat them when I'm hungry for a snack. I also heard that to enjoy the best flavor and also nutrients, you should eat foods that come from where you are standing. Meaning, the place they are best grown. For example, it's best to eat banana from the area it was grown, such as Africa or Central America while you yourself is there. It's not as a qualified banana for growing them in the desert where you live.

Hello lore, eating fruits on empty stomach is good for your health, and when your hungry for snack that's your perfect time of eating fruits on empty stomach. You had said that eat foods where they best grown? It's my first time to hear, maybe only a superstition.

I've read it form somewhere that fruits should be taken 30mins-1hour before or after meals to achieve the greatest benefits. Eating fruits together with a full meal will just add up to the bulk of it.
@shuley (369)

You are correct arnie, so try to eat fruits with an empty stomach to detoxify your system. Thank you for your response, see you around.

I actually agree about the article of eating fruits with an empty stomach. Fruits can easily digest. It will help to detoxify our system. When we eat fruits together with our meals, it may create a reaction between the acids of the food when it's spoil, the fruits, and acid inside our stomach which may cause bloating. So never to eat fruits with a meal, better to eat before meals in order to get exactly what we want from fruits. As my daily routine, I did eat fruit first before meals. And as a result, it helps me to lose my weight. Good to those who are willing to maintain their dietary habit. Good for the health.

Well, i have heard that that best time to consume fruits is half an hour after meal. Because eating fruits before meal can influence one's digest ability. And some fruits are not recommend to consume too much each day, like lichee and oranges. And some fruits are not suitable to some special people. So there are lots of knowledge when it comes to fruits eating. If you know them, you can benefit from eating fruits, while if you eat them in the wrong way, it will do harm to your health.

Hello april, I have read an article that fruits should not be eaten after meals because the minute when the fruit and food comes into contact in the stomach with its digestive juices the entire mass of food will begin to spoil, for the food rots and ferments and will turn into acid. So the best way to eat fruits is when the stomach is empty or before having meals. It will detoxify your system, supplying your body a great deal of high energy {em}smile{em}.

No, I don't really eat fruits when I have an empty stomach most of the time. lol. I like to have the fruits after a major meal or in between meals as a snack. But I think that any fruit that you do eat during the day is beneficial to you overall. I think many foods do wind up tasting a lot better when you are eating them on an empty stomach. But when your stomach is empty sometimes you do tend to rush your eating and not savor the flavors of the foods.
@shuley (369)
15 Feb 11
hello nijolechu, you said eating with empty stomach tend to rush in eating, maybe it depends to a person on how he/she eats "its on the habit of a person I guess". Anyway, these are a good advice for your health eating fruits with an empty stomach. Thank you for your response, see you around.

So that's how we should eat fruits , on empty stomach? What about if they are citrus fruits? Wouldn't it hurt the stomach because of the acid? I guess, it's only applicable to those not acidic fruits. Am i right?
@shuley (369)
15 Feb 11
Hello SIMPLD, there is no such thing as some fruits like orange, pineapple, lemon are acidic because all fruits become alkaline in our body according to Dr. Herbert Sehlton. And I myself had try these fruits eating with empty stomach, and is good and the least I felt my gastric ulcer. If you mastered eating fruits the correct way, you have the secret of beauty, longevity, health, happiness and normal weight. Try it my friend eating fruits on empty stomach.

For me, it is important to eat fruits after having a meal. I am not accustomed to eating fruits with empty stomach. I do it after eating a heavy meal instead. I remember that dessert is always ready once you have eaten your meal, so we can consume fruits after breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is simple.
@shuley (369)
15 Feb 11
I beg to disagree with you Harry. But this was also what I am doing before I read the article of eating fruits the correct way. I am now 40+ of age only last two months I discovered that when eating fruits it should be with an empty stomach. I tried and I get the best results of having fruits. My dessert now after my heavy meals are sweet food dessert.

I enjoy eating fruit whenever I can. On an empty stomach I can definitely tell how the sugar gives me more energy. So what I usually do is eat fruit before what I'm going to eat for a meal so that the first thing being processed is the fruit, resulting in more energy to do things while my stomach digests the other food. I really love bananas, blueberries, and strawberries the most. I can eat them every single day of my life.
@shuley (369)

hello meditated, yes that's true, cheers were eating fruits the correct way. In our country we had a lot of bananas, mango, pine apple but blueberries and strawberries are expensive here. Thank you for your response.

I try to eat fruit on an empty stomach. I think it's important because we eat a lot of unhealthy foods during the day (I don't think we can avoid that anymore) so we need to detoxify our organism. And they can fight off hunger better than some of us think. I had two bananas for breakfast today and I didn't feel hungry again for hours!

First off i will say that some fruits have alot of calories. For me i have printed out how many cups of each fruit you should eat to have a 100 calorie snack and you should do the same thing as this will guide and help you on your calorie counting for fruits. I eat sometype of fruit everyday. Of course i need to make a stop in the next couple days to a fruit stand as i am running out of fruit in my house since i try to have a late night fruit snack. I eat bananas a little different as i put peanut butter on them to give them a better taste and yes it might not be good and healthy but at least im getting a banana in me. I also will cut the banana up and put in my cereal in the morning. And at night i try to eat a peach or nextarine and thats usually it and pretty good for me.

hello lologirl, yes maybe to those who are diabetic or doctors prescribe them to eat fruits on minimal amount still its' best thing to eat fruits on empty stomach, to detoxify our system. There are a lot more fruits other than banana that should be eaten before having a meal, and if you gonna try it, really good for your body.
