Our blood banks will not allow anyone to donate too regularly, they do have specific rules as over donating will hinder ones own health. I have heard that after donating a pint of blood they will not let you leave for at least twenty minutes to get our blood to reproduce on it's own. As for the skin changes I had not heard this before, hmm seems bizarre but maybe that is why we are not allowed to donate too regularly.

Absolutely as tingtong above they do give us the same, if I am not mistaken one here cannot donate more then once every two weeks. I have read in so many online articles that people here do it for earnings, due to health issues that may arise they are restricted from frequent visits. By the way as much as I wanted to donate, I am not allowed as I have a rare blood type which apparently is no good. LOL, on a serious note I was sadden when a family member so needed many donations and I was not allowed as I have rhogam negative blood type.

As per other responses more blood lose can cause pale skin.. But no fair skin. I have done blood donating only couple of times. so i don't know whether they allow regularly or not. @Hardworkinggurl.. Don't they feed you during rest..

i think donating blood is good for health it will keep you healthy and so sometimes fair also because when your old blood is donated new brand new blood will be created and so it will be fresh..

fresh blood is good for us right . and within a few days that fresh blood will be equalised with equal hemoglobin right so it will be better.

hi Yes that can be. Fresh blood can be the reason for fair skin. But i am really not sure on it. Thanks for your reply.

You would become pale for sure. :) There is a specific frequency. If you donate more often than that, you would end up using the blood you donated as well as that donated by others. So its better to keep the quality of the blood intact. :)

I have already heard this before so it isn't that much strange to me anymore except the first time I also heard this. The explanation I get is that when we release blood, our body produces new healthy blood cells replacing the old ones which has been donated. This makes our body young and others feel the effect of having fair skin. This is just a statement which I heard and I don't know if it as been proven already.

Well I really didn't mean that regularly is everyday ... Some people used to donate blood every 6 months.. Which also can called regularly.
