So I spent the whole morning yesterday wondering how to make some quick money and then at the end of the day I was informed on how much my tax return would be. So now I'm happy and having a pleasant day. I hope everyone is having a pleasant day. This one thing had made me look forward to summertime and fun in the sun! Now I will be able to travel to FL for my cousins wedding and just the other day told her I wouldn't be able to make it because of my money situation. This is the third year I actually looked forward to taxes. lol Whats up with your situation with the whole tax thing?

I have received my refund already. I was quite happy with what I got back. I would have much rather had that money all year, but because I didn't make much money last year I got the big refund. I filed my taxes and was soo happy to get them, but then found that I missed a few things so now I have to file an amended return. So, I messed up what I thought was my good tax situation. UGH!

Taxes can be tricky. The better you prepare them the more you can get too. No one really tells you the extra things you can do to get that little bit more but if you do some research you can find a couple things to add a bigger balance. I encourage you to look around for as much information as you can before fileing the amendment.

yes paying tax is one of the citizen duty i guesss as long u are able to.For me i am under the taxable. In my country if the net salary per year is below the mininum range that it is not taxable.I think i am under the poverty line.Haha.So no need to paid tax.But daily buying stuffs is affected by sales tax, service tax , toll tax and others. As usually in other country , rich people paid less tax while the middle income and poor have to pay more tax. 5% from rich person and 5 % from poor people are not the same and not fair.

I agree with you. Tax for rich is not the same for poor. 20% of a $95,000 dollar salary is $19,000. While 20% of a $19,000 dollar salary is $3,800. One is a very large down payment on a house and the other isn't enough to put down a house at all. And that is one year. It would take you five years at the same rate to achieve the benefits of the rich person and still other factors would play a roll.

I have started gathering my tax forms, receipts, etc. but I haven't started working on my taxes just yet. I have some paperwork to pick up at another place, and then I might start calculating. I have been paying extra out of my paycheck each week, to try to help out on tax time. I am hoping that I will either break even, or maybe even get a tax refund like you. Last year I think I got $31 back, or something close to that, on the federal. And only had to pay in a few dollars to state. I am glad to hear that you are receiving the opportunity to go on such a great trip. That is really going to be a great trip. Florida is really a beautiful state, even though I have only been there a couple of times.

Thanks for your enthusiasm, I was born in Fl and I miss it dearly. I learned to sail and always was doing something on the water. Now I live in NC and hate it but I haven't had enough money to anything in years. Its been my dream for years to sail the world but truly don't see any way to do that unless some drastic change of events happens! The only reason my taxes are worth looking at are because my son is still 3 and we get extra money back for having a baby in the household. The more you withhold during the year the more you should get back, its sort of like a savings account because then you get it back all at once.
