I recently found a site that tells you the meaning of names. Their origins etc. I found it very interesting to see where a particular name came from. Do you know how you got your name? I know many people are often named after relatives in their families or named after a song or a place. Where did your name come from?

I have 3 names, technically my parents were namehogs, and I hated learning to write my name when I was younger because it was so long! The first one was my Dad's choice because his favorite author was Machiavelli and he for him I was his little princess. The second one came from my maternal grandfather because I was his first granddaughter. I was born on the same year that Pope John Paul II first visited our country, so he named me after him. And the third one came from my Mom. Her favorite singer was Olivia Newton-John, and she named me after her. :)

My mom and dad were born in the Depression era. I was named after a queen, a naval hero and my last name is of French English origin. The name I would like to legal change to is Irish. That would be more to my liking. But I don't feel I will be around for a whole lot longer so why change my name at this late date?!
