There was a very intelligent man, but he did not believe it so ... The same man was also gifted but he did not believe it so ... so this man became what he believed he was ... He used the power of believing to feel he can not do anything ... How can we use the power of believing to go against the odds and succeed ... What do you think ?

Yes it starts from believing and I believe in it. :D We really won't be able to do anything until we believe that we can do it. Sometimes things that seems impossible to do becomes possible. That is the power of believing. Miracles happen because we do believe that miracles really happen. Some things also exist because we do believe that they exist.

Thanks Sais06. It seems there are so many things that change and many times, those who persevere for long periods of time in what they believe will find that certain changes go in their favor ... What do you think ?

Isn't is amazing how we all grew up in different situations. I think some have been immersed in various forms of adversity and it has opened the door into new opportunities for the future. For instance, a person may be able to tap "otherwise dormant ability to succeed" because he or she has been in extremely adverse and difficult situation in life ... What do you think ?

Yes that is correct. But I guess only those who has lots of patience are able to persevere for long periods of time. Most of us usually give up easily even without trying.

It is all in the mind, it really is. Seems like he sold himself short to himself.

Thanks for your thoughts. Lore2009, how are you ? :) I guess the topic can make more people aware that there are times when we may "sell ourselves short" in certain aspects and yet be unaware ... What do you think ?

Hi Ruperto, I'm great, you? I agree that there are times like that, and the thought of this to me, is a scary thought because I wouldn't want to limit myself because of my own ignorance about myself. But then, I don't know, maybe if you are unaware, it won't be scary because you are unaware.

hi tigeraunt, I recall there are instances when simply believing has kept the quest for dreams alive and has resulted in achieving what was wished for ... I also believe in the saying :"careful what we wish for because we might just get it.". It seems some of the things we actually achieve with great difficulty using the power of believing may be , in the final analysis, harmful to us... What do you think ?

it does happen in some instances, maybe. but i am sure you wouldnt wish of something you know will not be good for you or the people you love, in the future - though we also know that we cannot foretell the future. ann

I wouldn't say go against the odds. I'd rather say think the other way around. Wanna know what I think? Here's what I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b1GKGWJbE8

many thanks for the link , frontvisions101 It seems the law attraction should be part of school curriculum, agree ? Also, it seems that "what we focus on" manifests or will manifest in our lives. One principle I have taken to heart is "to be an instrument of giving." It seems this way, I am told that I will be able to align to the Invisible All-Powerful that makes all things possible... What do you think ?

In my experience i grew up being told that i was nobody and that i would amount to nothing when i grow up because i was a slow learner and under achiever.I was always told that i look ugly ,dark and inappropriate. As a child i would find my little nook and think that one day i will become so powerful and i will crush my enemies and i will be lovely and appreciated by all.I seemed to feel that all my childhood was spent fighting for my right to be heard and still i felt small and insignificant.I was harsh to anyone or even everyone because it was all i leaned to do since all was showed to me was negativity. When i reached adolescence some one came to my life and appreciated me for who i was and nothing else.It was when i stared to learn how to also appreciate others and i learned it late just because one person showed me how to appreciate and love without condition. From there my power of believing in me started to grow.I began to believe that i could do it and i bloomed.I finished two degrees and joined beauty contests and won some. All these happened not because i just believed in them but someone planted the seed of goodness first so as to nurture what i had in me to start growing and grow it did in a manner where goodness prevailed and not the dark and negative energy that once plague my soul.

Thanks Carolcadavez I think what you said can help young people realize that the way to be really successful is to align to the Invisible All-Powerful by giving of self so that others may get a foothold and "climb" above adversity ... What do you think?

It is like "paying it Forward" ruperto.Have you seen the movie? It's like this, do a simple good to a total stranger and keep on doing that and that good will ripple through the world and become a tidal wave of goodness and this activation of positive energy is bound to affect more and more people each day as it it done.

when you start to do something new, in your head will have many thing happen. One of them is a voice that moan :" I can't do it, I can't do it or I'm gonna lose I'm gonna fail" don't let that voice overwhelm you, think of something more possible and optimistic. Don't let the fear overwhelm you ! Believe in yourself !

Thanks Zwindz93. Would you agree with the idea that most people may have "lose the good opinion of others" (for a while at least) to achieve that which the power of believing helped them to achieve? What do you think ?
