I've had only one cat that liked to play with the toilet paper and she was a kitten. As she got older, she quit with the tp but liked to dig into the stack of newspaper. I think she liked to hear the crinkle. The cat I have now will scratch around in a plastic grocery bag to make her a nest to sleep in. I have to be careful and supervise this as I don't want her getting in and not being able to get out.

Have you ever rolled a piece of newspaper in a ball and let her play with it? Our cats go crazy over those!! He he he he. Be careful with the plastic bags and the kitties you really have to watch them around that kind of thing they could suffocate. Have a good day!

Ever since we got a kitty, we were advised to leave them out of the bathroom since many drown in toilets. (Don't know if it's true, but we didn't want to risk it.) So, the bathroom is always left closed.

We leave the toilet seats down because of that. We have seen them drinking from the toilet a very long time ago so we have been leaving the seats down.

Awww I am sorry maybe you should get them some catnip. It helps the kitties play. And they will be more playful and frisky!!

Some cats have to be taught how to play. I adopted a 4 yr old from a shelter and she wasn't into the playing much. I got some catnip and rubbed toys in it and also some of the toys that already had catnip in them. Then I made time to play using the new toys. I discovered by accident one day that she liked to chase a simple string of yarn. To this day that yarn is her favorite plaything. I throw it up and she'll rear up and catch it and roll around keeping it 'captured'. It's a good way for her to get exercise too.
