Does it hurt if you're a single on Valentine day?

I feel it every year after my girlfriend had to break up few years ago. I still love her and I think the same the other end. She had to breakup forcefully because of her father put pressure on her. Now we live miles apart and no clue where she is . Do you think love hurts more when you miss someone you love so much?

I have been single for Valentine's in the past. It is not a big deal. You have to get over her. There must be someone else for you. I've been through a similar experience with my parents not agreeing to my girlfriend. I moved away and she moved with me, but I broke up with her 2 years later. I fell in love with my wife after 6 months and we love each other ever since. I'm happily married for almost 2 years now.

Sorry that happened to you and the love of your life. I do hope that maybe perhaps in the future things will get better for you two, and if not at least some form of friendship. Love does hurt and to be split in this way has to be harder. Yes it does hurt more when you miss them as love should not hurt and not to be able to see the person that is inside our hurts hurts deeply.

If you love someone than its natural but if you are single like me and not ready for any kind of relationship till now than you have better choices to make fun being alone.

I think it is just perfectly alright to be single on valentine's day. I am single, and i did not celebrate valentine on that particular day. Instead, i celebrated independence day.

..love shouldn't be hurting you, instead make love your insporation to continue life. there is a famous song that goes "somewhere down the road, our roads are gonna cross again it doesn't really matter when..." if time didn't allow your love to pursue at this point of time, destiny has better plans for you ahead..let's just hope for the best mathikyu..

Sure! Mathikyu, we must not add "lemon to the blessing" hehe, it hurts, and it hurts more if we think about it. We can manage our energy, we must manage our energy to other things, as exercise, or learning music, or something else to cover the blessure... Blessings!... Dainy

nope .. it doesn't . Why should it hurt anyways ? Is there a reason for the same ? Being single is inn these days . As it is there is nothing called as love and all that . Its just a crap which our ancestors came with for their entertainment.

Ya it will hurt when we see the couples hanging their hands and roaming the street with pleasant chat.

Well of course it hurts. We'e human beings and missing someone sometimes really tears us apart especially when we're clueless about where they are.It hurts even more to think if she's even thinking of you. But in my life I've leared a very valuable lesson and that is a relationship opposed by parents can never work out. Yes you might fight for it but then there will never be peace of mind knowing that someone out there is against your relationship. Maybe you could learn to let go and move on. It's easier said than done but then the world won't stop for you.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you. I know it sucks, i had a nasty breakup years ago too. But now i've moved on and I'm ok. And no it doesn't hurt to be single at valentine's day. actually it's fun hanging around with my girls on that day :)
