Ouch! I just had it removed this morning. It hurts! I was so afraid of this procedure that I postponed it for as long as I could. Over the weekend, the pain just wouldn't go away, so I put on my brave face and went in. I did it! Glad I did it, but now I can't eat. I'm too scare to open my mouth and swallow anything. I'm so gross of the blood. Make it stop...Please!!! Not sure how I am going to sleep tonight without swallowing the gauge??

Wow, that sounds pretty painful cmecu6. I still have my wisdom teeth. Although, there is one in the back that hasn't come through yet. Well, I guess I shouldn't say yet, because it is crooked, and they say that it will never break through. Such a coincidence though. I went to the dentist today as well. I had two old fillings that needed reworked. One of the dental hygentist described it kind of like having a half crown put on each one. The other one called it an onlay. I had never heard of either one. However, when he was doing the drilling today, I really felt it. One thing I noticed, he didn't numb the one tooth as much as the other. I'm not sure why. Even the hygentist mentioned that my mouth would be more numb on one side that it would the other. She was right. And I definitely could feel it when he started drilling. It was pretty painful, and I am sure that the dentist could see the pain on my face, because he just kept saying good job. Well, I hope you make it through the painful process, and that it will be well worth it in the long run. Good luck!

Thanks. I had to have 3 doses of anesthetic for it to totally numb my mouth. Prior to having it done, I asked and the doc made it sound so simple, which it was, on his part. Not mine! Yeah, I didn't even feel it when he plucked it out because of all the anesthetic, but when I got home it's a whole different story. Don't do it if you don't need to. Right now, I'm not sure which is worst? My prior pain or the pain and mess I'm in now?
