The results are as following: AC Milan - Tottenham, 0-1 Valencia - Schalke 04, 1-1 Roma - Shaktar Donetsk, 2-3 Arsenal - Barcelona, 2-1 Lyon - Real Madrid, 1-1 FC Copenhagen - Chelsea, 0-2 Marseille - Man. United, 0-0 Inter - Bayern Münich, 0-1 16 goals in 8 matches. We can hope, we'll get more in the next round. What do you think about this round? What do you expect for next round?

3 draws, 4 away wins, and only 1 home wins! I think it's very exciting. Home ground didn't always convince for the home party to get their 'party'. I think the next round will also be difficult to predict. If I can choose, the ones that should go through are: Tottenham, Valencia, Roma (even it's almost impossible :), Arsenal, Lyon, Chelsea, MU, Munchen. Well, it's just a hope. Anything can be happen :)

I have also been thing about, that there only were 1 home win this round. I think it will change for the next round. If I could choose these teams should go through are: Tottenham, Schalke, Shaktar, Arsenal, Real M., FCK (Danish team, but almost impossible), United and Münich.

Valencia and Schalke are two very equal teams. To be honest I think Valencia is a bit better, but since Schalke got a good result in Valencia, then I think they have the confidence and they believe they can go through to the next round. I thought Roma was better that Shaktar, but I was wrong. After Shaktar great result in Rome, I think Shaktar is the favourite team to going through. Real seems to be much stronger than Lyon, and I think they will show on home ground. Chelsea played much better that FCK, and even though I hope FCK will make the greatest surprise in London, then I must be honest and say, that the game for FCK is over. As you mention witht the Italian teams, then it's not because I don't like them. A Champions league quaterfinal without Italian teams would be sad for Italian football. But they are just not as good, as they were 4-5 years ago.

As for Valencia and Schalke, I have no intense who should going through. As for Roma and Shakthar, well to be honest, it's really difficult for Roma, like i said before. I chose Roma, just for not eliminating all the Italian teams, like just what you've did :) It's a pity if in the next season we will have less Italian teams in Champions League :( Lyon - Real Madrid. Well I don't like Madrid. As simple as that. So I picked Lyon, instead :D FCK over Chelsea? You're a Danish, aren't you? I'm a United fans. So if FCK can get through, then I would be happy also. In this case, I'll support you. :D

I can't wait until the next leg I'm especially looking forward to the Barcelona and Arsenal match with Barcelona having to put in an attacking display to pull themselves back in to the game whilst Arsenal may be able to use this to their advantage. Also the Ac Milan game should be exciting and a nervy tie for any Tottenham fan I wonder whether they will succumb under pressure or will they succeed and record a historic moment. I myself hope they do well but can see them falling apart. The Inter Milan tie should be another interesting game. The one game I believe which will be as equally disappointing as the first leg is the Manchester United and Marseille game which was pretty poor in terms of clear cut chances.

The match in Barcelona will be very intense, and I think we will see 2 teams, which will fight for the lives. Barcelona will play offensive, so we will probably see Arsenal using their excellent skills in contra attacks. The Milan game should also be very interesting, because Tottenham has had problems with playing good always, so if they don't perform well, they can easily fall apart.

The Barcelona game should be interesting and also entertaining Arsenal don't want to set up too defensively though and rely on a counter attack as their only outlet in the game. They also need to have a bit of procession not a lot but enough to let the players have a bit of a rest and take Barcelona's momentum out of the game easier said than done though The Milan game should be also be equally as good but as Tottenhams players may just decide to not show up then that would be very costly against Milan with the attacking threats they have at their disposal. I hope Tottenham play well so we can see an entertaining but quite an equally balanced game.

if Arsenal are too defensive, they will lose, because Barcelona's offensive is too strong, especially, when they are playing home.

After this first round of results, I would say that only Chelsea look like they are through to the next round. All other matches still hang in the balance. I am looking forward to the Barcelona - Arsenal match as the first leg did live up to the billing. Also, I will keep an eye on the Tottenham match and hope they can pull it off. Cheers! Ram

Yes, Chelsea looks quite sure, unless FCK makes a great surprise in London. The most exiting matches in the second leg are Arsenal-Barcelona and Milan-Tottenham.

This low amount of goals is because the teams are very good and are almost at the same level. I have to say that Chelsea's clear win at Copenhagen has surprised me, but this is life. I am happy that Gomez scored that last minute goal and hope that Bayern will qualify. As for the number of goals, I am sure that we will see more, because teams need to attack in order to qualify.

Yes, it's 18 very good teams with good defences. If we look at Chelsea's team, they are much better than FCK. I hoped and throught FCK could beat Chelsea, but I knew it would be very hard for them.

I think it was a little boring, because many of the teams didn't want to risk anything, but I'm also looking forward to second leg, because some teams have to play offensive and score goals, if they want to go through.

I hope the matches of the second leg will be much more entertaining and they will offer us more goals.I think the only team which has no emotion in the second leg is Chelsea. As for the rest,I predict two different outccomes for teams from Milano:I think AC Milan has enough quality to reverse the result in London or at least send the match in extra time, but I doubt Inter will do the same in front of a superior Bayern.I also think AS Roma will loose the second leg as well, and it would be good for football to have a team from Eastern Europe in the last 8.I also think Real Madrid and Man Utd will beat the French teams, and Schalke will also defeat Valencia. As for Barca-Arsenal,I think this will be the most spectacular match and it's a shame one of these teams who play such entertainig football will be out,but I guess the experience of Barca will prevail again over the youth and enthousiasm of Arsenal players.

Well Milan has to play very well to win in London, but we have seen that Tottenham can have a very bad day. Last league match they lost 3-1 to Blackpool. I also think Chelsea is through, because I don't see FCK winning in London. Inter-Bayern, united-Marseille, Real-lyon, Barcelona-Arsenal, Roma-Shaktar are still very open, so I think we will get some exitig matches.
