I've been very busy lately to my offline work. I wasn't able to catch up all the discussion and response no matter what I do. I was able to come up a good idea which I like to happen in the near future here in mylot. I would like to raise a suggestion that instead of sending discussion made by friends. It will be more beneficial to the recipient. if the discussion created by his/her friend is related to what the recipients like. To tell you honestly I was getting lazy to check my received discussions. Because some of them I can't relate cope up and no idea. I don't like to respond to their discussion. Whom I will only say no idea, i can't relate etc. Would you agree? In this way we could lessen the time reading some unrelated or not significant to the interest of the recipients of the email? I already submit report to the mylot Admin for my suggestion

I'm not sure I understand the situation. Are you saying you are notified of all your friend's discussions? If this bothers you, you might turn off the notifications. I like having them there. If I am not interested in a topic of one of the discussions, I just delete it. But at least I know what is out there. I don't like to respond to things I have no interest in, but I do like to know what topics are out there. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I don't like to turn it off.Because he/she might give a good discussion next to what I dislike. Do you get what I mean?

That makes sense. What email provider do you use? The only reason I ask is because all discussions from one person show up in a single email with gmail rather than several separate emials. I am able to glance through the list to see if any are interesting and I can ignore one or all of them. If I like one and not the others, all I have to do is scroll through all of the discussions instead of having to delete one in order to get to the next one. Does that make sense what I'm saying?

I am not as you say lazy. Sometimes I get busy. But I like any discussion started by my friends. I do not always have time to reply to every single one, but there are very few that I could not reply to in some relevant manner.

Above this discussion is a tab 'friends started' and you can see all of the discussions that your friends start by going there instead of using the notifiers. I see that you also use yahoo. You can make a seperate folder there so that the notifiers go there instead of clogging up your inbox and then you can get to them when you have time unless you turn all the notifiers off and just use the 'friends started' tab.

Mylot is disabled in our office now. I can't visit mylot time to time. The only medium I got is via email. I already made my filter intended for mylot only. The problem is that the percentage of email I received is not relevant to my interest nor cannot relate to them.

Hi syoti: I think that's a great idea and it makes easier to look for the discussions that really matters to you. Sometimes I feel that lazy too. The only thing thats is negative on this idea is that I sometimes found some very interesting dfiscussions from my friends on the site that they actually don't make part of my usual interests. I think that we'd lose the oportunity to participate on other discussions. But as I mentioned before it's a great idea if you want to go directly to the discussions on the interests that you like the most. ALVARO

haha =D So now u know the pain of being a recipient huh? IT's even worse when one starts many discussions a day, and yet only one or two suits the interest of recipients, but they are forced to go through the entire list before choosing one to respond.. lol =D This is why i always hate people starting tons of discussions at one shot.. haha

That would be a good idea. Lately, I go straight to "Discussions of my interests" first.

I may be a good idea perhaps, as long as every user have the chance to decide what mails to receive and what interests or friends to receive. For me, I'm fine with the current settings of receiving everything from all friends. when I check my inbox I read the title and I can see if the rest may be worth reading or not. Also receiving things from other interests other than mine is a good way of catching up topics that I've not thinked of at the start and I may like though, so I can get new interests over time. The MyLot digests are good for that also, but I think you should be capable of subject them to the same restriction.
