Now a days there are hardly any shop without a Discount board hanging at the doors! Some have painted permanently about this discount at their shop! The discount varies from 10% to 50%,some times even more also! I normally don't pay any attention to these Discount boards, but then the discount given is some where around 50% and above and if it is from a Branded Company I may some times be interested in this! How about you ? Are you interested in discounts? Please respond and give your views on the discounts offered by various shops in the markets! Thanks in advance!!

I don't shop at fashion boutiques.I shop for vintage and secondhand items.I buy retail for basic items, like a black turtleneck.for seasonal items I buy secondhand or vintage.in the long run,it saves me more money.I also don't have to worry about running into someone wearing the same dress as I do.

Hi Dear My_name_is_coco! Though I never have any experience of purchasing second hand items, I have purchased some vintage items! Some how the vintage items are much more expensive in our country than the new ones!Yes if you are interested in buying the vintage and secondhand things then there is a lot of scope of saving the money if you are getting them at cheaper rates and you really need not bother about the discounts given at the Malls or other big shops! Thanks for responding!

As of lately I love discounts!! Every time I see a sale I always check it out. Although I have found that when shopping online sometimes the sale isn't worth it. The price of shipping sometimes out weighs what your getting on sale. At some shops signing up for their email newsletters they often time send free shipping codes. In those cases its a all around great deal! Great post

Hi Dear LaLaNoShade! Yes, many a times the the discount offered by the on line shopper is get adjusted against the shipping, sometimes we are ended up with paying more! But then if the postage, packing and handling are free then we can save some thing on the item purchased under discount! So you are also one of those who can't resist the Discount Board hanging at any shop! LOL ! Thanks for responding!

Hi Dear Cher! That is really a wise thing to do! There is no point in spending money just because we are getting the things at cheaper rates, when we really don't require them! Yes, I too never go for shopping unless I require something to buy which is obviously a necessary thing for my use! Thanks for responding!

Most of the time, if it isn't under a discount sign of some kind...I don't look! But you have to watch. I have a feeling stores like Kohl's and the like...they hike up the "regular" price so that when they mark it 50%off...they are still making a profit. But as you look at the tag and see the "regular" price to see what the 40% off amount would be...that is where they get you. Best you can do is stick to your own budget. Doesn't matter what the final sales price is...if it isn't in your budget...sales price doesn't matter!

Hi Dear Coffeebreak! I agree with your views .There are many companies who just in order to attract the clients they hike the price and they lure the clients with the discount boards! The best of tackling this problem is just to stick to our budget without paying much attention to the discount boards! Thanks for responding!

Definitely I think I would say I like Clearance better unless the discount is at least 50% off as you mentioned. Clearace and on sales are what I first look when I get to the store. I don't think those discounts that require you spend a certain amount though like you have to spend $70 to get 10% off.

Hi Dear Mermaidivy! Yes we can save a considerable amount in the clearance sale or discounts exceeding 50%! In normal discounts it is not really worth spending a lot of amount for saving a fraction of it, for no reason! Thanks for respondig!

I'm always interested with regards to discounted or sale items because if I will be able to save half of price or even more then why I wouldn't go for it. Specially those things that I want, but I think it's quite expensive if I purchase it right away so it's better to wait for a sale.

Hi Dear Winnie ! First of all Warm Welcome to Mylot! Yes I do agree with your views that you are interested in the discounts if you are able to save half the price or even more! I think it is quite natural for any one to wait for some time he/she gets sale, if the product is not really required immediately! Thanks for responding!

Hello, Everyone loves a bargain, especially nowadays with prices going up and up for everything. If there's a bargain to be had then I am usually first in the queue to get it. It just makes sense to save some money when you can.

Hi Dear Haddowz! Yes you are absolutely right, with the rising prices of today where the inflation is touching the sky, it sounds quite sensible, if we can manage to save some amount on discounts, if we can really manage to do so! I appreciate your views ! Thanks !

I never pass up on a good buy, and I consider discounts of more than 20% off its current price as a good buy for me, especially if the items are basic necessities like toiletries, healthcare products or food. When it comes to branded products, especially clothing, I'd prefer a discount of not less than 25%, unless the item on sale is something that I would really buy even if it isn't discounted.

Hi Dear friend Beamer! Yes if we can save some 20% above on the goods which we need on daily basis that would be a good deal and even me also don't mind going in for such sales! I think branded products if are given good discounts I won't mind going for them also as normally they won't cheat you , by first increasing the price and then giving discount as most other non branded companies they do! Thanks for responding dear friend!

I usually pay attention to the discount sign when it's 50-75% off, that's a real discount. But when a shop is offering 10-20%, I might as well pay the full price. That just takes some cents, I need something that's going to take some dollars off. But sometimes I feel like they raise the prices on some item so that way you're paying the price it would normally cost. Like for instance if there's this skirt on stock it originally cost 25$ but they put a 50% tag on the dress. They might want to raise the price to 25$ so that way it's not really a discount.

Hi Dear EstiiBabii ! I understood your logic! It is really no god discount unless we are saving few dollars on it! There is no point in saving few cents! Thus going in for a discount which is ranging from 50% to 75% sounds quite logical! Regarding your second point I think most of the Local companies do this on regular basis.first they increase the actual cost and they offer discount on the items and while doing so, some times we may be paying more than the actual cost some times,if we go for such discounts! I know this way lot of shop keepers they offer discount from their side, irrespective of the company has the policy of doing it or not, for few friends of mine who are having shops keep awaken till late nights to re tag the products that are to be displayed next day! Thanks for responding!
