Yes, it's possible now. Autodesk has created their first AutoCAD application which can be run into any web browser and it is called AutoCAD WS. You can try it here: https://www.autocadws.com/ Several years people who work as engineers was forced to buy AutoCAD software even if they needed to do just as little as some drafting or even to simply view and edit Autocad .dwg files. Now with AutoCAD WS everyone can do it without installing huge software programs. Yes, I am surprised, but from other hand this was long time awaited move from Autodesk since web application and browser extension market already have many, may text, spreadsheet editors, drawing, painting tools, music and video editing tools which can be run simply in web broswer, so its just natural that everyone now trying to catch up with time and create versions for their own programs. Ok, I have tried AutoCAD WS , there is just few of AutoCAD functions, but still its amazing start!

I believe this will help those that just need to view a file from the programs so they don't have to buy the whole program to do so. That in itself is good. I believe as more people use the site and give suggestions and such, that the site will grow with more tools, to be able to do even more in the browser. Will just take time for the programmers to develop the code. Good start as you say.
