Today I feel very lazy, to do all my work. Many jobs should I do, washing clothes, washing dishes, cooking, mopping floors, cleaning house, ironing clothes and much more. But today I do not have the spirit to do all the work. Every day the work I do, and now I feel lazy to do it. Have you ever experienced the same thing with me? I hope I come back to have the spirit, to do all the work, before my husband came home.

I can relate to how you were feeling when you posted the discussion indahfth because I often feel that way too! I used to enjoy housework but now it has become nothing more than a list of unpleasant chores that just have to be done. I usually push myself through it until everything is done and then I reward myself by doing something I really enjoy like reading or writing. Hang in there the motivation will come back...Eventually LOL!

Thank you. I also always felt this was the job I have to do, even lazy. Some people say to me, if done with love, definitely feeling lazy will be lost. However, it does not affect much.

Yes, I have lazy days, but I have an advantage over you. I will be a great grandma in October, so I feel entitled to a lazy day, or maybe more than one. It appears that you are young with many duties, but you must get your rest, also. When you get to feeling overwhelmed, take a nap. You will awaken refreshed and able to fly through the most important tasks before your husband comes home. Decide what is most important. Dish washing and cooking are necessary. Hide the ironing and, if possible, the dirty clothes as well. They can wait until another day. Straighten up the house. Put away anything out of place and spray some room deodorizer to make it smell better. Then, sit down and have a cup of tea, so that you can be relaxed when your husband comes home.

hi indahfth, too taxing. i dont even know if your husband gives you enough to compensate for the things you do in the house. you are not superwoman you know. the least he could do is give you a helper so you will also have free time for yourself. its better that you do the chores that are much visible. you can do the rest tomorrow. ann

Hi Indah!. I think you are lucky if just lazy only for today. I am the kind of person who had no passion on house work except for cooking. The others task I only do it if there is no one else will do it. I am quite lucky I only had to cook and my sister and mom do the rest. I think I am still lucky we can still share our house work. I think if someday I stay at my own house I will have to do it all by myself . I hope I can spouse who wiling to help to do thats house work or I will be in trouble. I think if you feel lazy like thats you need for vacation or pay someone to do thats house work and you can enjoy your self thats day.

Unfortunately, I can not do your suggestion. Because I have to do it all, although I lazy. And I have to do it all alone.

Oh yes I have my days also where no matter how much I have to do I simply want to do nothing. We are entitled as after all our bodies sometimes dictates and won't allow us to move. I also do like you and hope the next day is better ans usually is after a day of rest.

One day too, I must not leave my housework. Because, if my husband came home, and the house is a mess and I did not finish the job my husband, would be angry with me.

Hello again my friend. That's normal because we feel bored usually on the things we routinely doing. The best thing for you to do is give yourself time to rest. Relax. If machine that has no life get exhausted from too much work how much more with us human. If you rest today, sure tomorrow would never be the same again. Things to be done can wait while our body needs some time to be energize for that work again. Nice day ahead my friend.. Mobhomeir here..

Yes there are occasionally days where I just don't care to do my job. But then there is that stupid thing called "Responsibility" That kills the spirit and eventually I do go to work. I think this happens to everybody!

"You need a break, you need a kitkat" sounds familiar? well it's from a TV commercial, I'm sure you got that on indonesian TV too . But seriously, if you get tired, it means to have to take a break. Maybe you've been doing things over and over again and your own self is just trying to tell you that you have to do things differently. Doing things over and over again becomes boring. So stop and do other things and do what you're suppose to at your own time not because other's want you to do it.

Hi Indahft! You are not alone in this kind of feeling. Sometimes I also feel lazy going to work. However, I do not let my self dwell on that feeling. I always succeed. Whenever I feel lazy waking up and going to work I drag my self outside the bedroom. I convince my self that this feeling will not do me good so I have to win over it. I'm a Manager in one of the known companies here in our country. I'm handling around 500+ people. They always suck out the life out of me when I'm at work. Just remember the number of people who approaches me everyday with different issues and I have to deal and resolve all of it. I've been working like this for four years now. The pressure at work is so intense that sometimes I feel so tired and exhausted physically, mentally and even emotionally. Everyday I need to make sure I'm able to motivate my self and bring back my passion to lead, motivate and bring change to the lives of other people. I can't be vulnerable because 500+ people are relying on me. I need to be strong because I am the strength of these 500+ people.

Yeah, sometimes we feel bored of our daily routines, and sometimes we need some time to relax and just be ourself and do the things that we like. Or maybe we just need to like what we are doing so that we will like to work it out.

I've felt this way before! In fact, there are times that I feel lazy for more than just a day. Chores are ignored, bed is unmade, and all I seem to be interested in is to lounge on the couch and daydream. Usually, this is an indicator that balance is missing in my life. It could be that I haven't gone out to see my friends in a while, or I've been too busy with work that I forget to have "Me" time. Don't feel bad about being lazy though, if you are. Everyone needs a break, one way or another. :) Have a great day!

I guess we all do. It's probably burn-out. You deserve a day off to rest and recuperate. Don't be too hard on yourself. As a man, I am telling you this. Do not be ashamed or afraid to ask your husband to help you. This is the modern day, not everything need to be done by the wife. Sharing the load halves the burden and doubles the joy!!! Rest well.
