Me and my friend were going on a 2 wheeler for some personal work.. there was a huge traffic jam and we were unable to make it on time, so we called the concerned person and informed him that we would be late.. When we went a head and checked the reason for the block we saw a group of people surrounding something, when we went and had a close look we saw that an old poor guy was dead.. he is a beggar and we use to see him everyday.. when esquired people said that he was hit by a car and no one took any responsibility to call an ambulance or to take him to the hospital and neither the guy who hit him had courtesy to stop and take him to the doctor.. and the entire crowd was waiting for the police to come and clear.. meanwhile my friend made a call to the hospital where his brother was a doctor and arranged for an ambulance and requested if his brother can request the board to take of his final funeral and stuffs.. Is it very difficult for us to be kind and be human towards our fella humans.. I am sure that if it was a friend or relative of people who were standing, they wouldn't have waited for the police to some and act.. Have the humans real lost their values? I'm surprised!!!

dont be surprised, people right now has become heartless.People today just watch like gaping fools while the person is just right in front of them. Actually any concerned citizen need not wait for the old guy to meet an accident and die, they should have sent him to an organization caring for old people long before and not wait for that incident to happen already. People right now just waits for government to do something but they will not do anything to help someone. They will not initiate among themselves to help.

This is a sad picture of how humans are apathetic to their fellow. They do not have concern for people's life and are busy minding their own business. But I don't blame them totally, some are victims of some scrupulous people taking advantage of their kindness. I am one of these victims, while I'm trying hard to help a fellow whom I thought was a victim of some wrong doing, I became a victim of pickpockets. People are now hesitant to help fearing that they might end up as a victim, too!

I have to accept with you my friend... sometimes it happens with us where in we try to help people and we ourselves fall in trouble.. but we still try to do things to others with a feel that I was useful to someone someway.. but there are quite few people who think that ways..

Hi Yes i do agree with you. Humans cannot be called humans anymore because they have lost all the sense of humanity. We have become so much self conscious and selfish that we cannot see anything beyond our self interest.

To your question here: yes. Most people simply love rubbernecking and only God knows what they hope to accomplish by simply standing along the sideline watching somebody die. At this, the notion that humans carry of themselves as the smartest beings in all of Creation is laughable. This goes to show that people are stupid as well as selfish. Most of them anyway. :) Myself included.

This really is an sorr picture but it is not right to blame all huma for this.Atleast you and your friend showed cocern for the poor person. The problm now a days is that people are becoming more interested in watching the sowrather than acting on it.It is really a bad trait that has been developing, recently I too had an similiar experience.During a strike here in an college one student was badly injured,he needed immediate medical attention, but the media person lady was nagging the person hit by asking her some questions like'Who hit you,With what?'.If this i what evolution is then I am sorry Mr Darwin you got it all wrong.

yeah!! that really hurts sumtimes, i faced such incidents many times , whenever i c accidents on the road that day i'll be very much disturbed and the obvious reason is donno how is the person? or whats the pulse of that family? like that i can't even that day and neither can i sleep..i got the habit of concern from my parents, especially from my dad, wen i was a kid i used to wonder why my dad stops his vehicle aside,go sees the accident and make a phone call and take the responsibility of informing to their family members or some1 even when he is having an important work then later on i understand that my dad is great and we should learn many things from him.

I'm sorry to say that things like this don't surprise me anymore. People don't care about each other they care about the bad things that happen to you. Anything that will give a person some gossip. We've taken what we want from celeberties which is for them to get famous so we can watch them fall and we now put that into our everyday lives. We want to see a person at their worst so our worst doesn't seem that bad. There are no more values, ethics or morales. It doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon either.

That is awful and all those people who just stood by should be ashamed of themselves.. Yes, unfortunately people are losing their respect for human life and it is very shameful... I am glad you and your friend were there and did what was the right thing to do..

It is sometimes hard to believe what people will do (or not do) in a situation such as this. It sounds like your friend is a good person. I don't know why no one wanted to call for emergency services. I know that I would feel the responsibility to do so if I came across the situation only because I would want someone else to do it for me. I don't know what this world is coming to!
