When I visit my brother, he watches "Who wants to be a millionaire." I like trying to figure out the right answers to the questions. It's the only game show i watch as I don't have a TV anymore as I really don't have much time to watch TV. My entertainment is Mylot and Triond, which for me is more interesting than TV.

...Hi there 1hopefulman, I do the same thing when I am watching the game shows. I find it to be a learning experience as well as entertainment. I tried out for Wheel of Fortune twice when they were in New Jersey looking for contestants. The first time was in Atlantic City when I just happened to be there when they were there. I did not get pass the written qualifying round. The second time I intentionally tried and was accepted. I had a post office box at time and only went to pick up my mail every now and then. I picked up the notice of acceptance to qualify the same day that I was supposed to be at the hotel for try outs. It was scheduled for 5 p.m., it was 10 minutes to 5 when I got the notice. Somehow I managed to get in touch with the woman in charge, told her the situation, she rescheduled me for that evening at 8 p.m. at another hotel. I had to work that night, but my boss allowed me to leave. It so happened that the hotel was not too far from where I worked. I got there and went through a set-up game. I won some key chains, a tote bag and something else that I don't remember now by being first to answer a question that they asked about the old show. I again got through to the written part, but did not answer enough of them correctly to move on, I think about ten moved on out of 50 or so. Great experience. Thanks for stopping by.

hi, by television game shows do you mean Reality shows where ordinary folks take part and also celebrities occaissionally? If so then, yes i enjoy watching such shows which have music talent shows and dance competitions. I simply hate watching soaps and serials with all their melodramatic rubbish but prefer reality shows because of their competitive spirit and one discovers new and young talent which one day could flower as a superstar.

....Hi vj, Hope you are doing very well as 2011 evolves. The Reality Shows are interesting and I have watched a few episodes of some of them, but don't usually follow them through to the end. I understand your comment about the soaps, they can be stupid and redundant with absurd story lines, that being said there is one that I follow continuously just like I remember my Mom watching Search for Tomorrow when I was a child. Men don't usually watch soap operas, I think it is a woman's hobby of sort. No, I am talking about pure game shows such as Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, Let's Make a Deal, those kind of shows. I like them because they are an outlet for me. Something that is fun to watch and play along. Thanks so much for stopping by. Take good care.

I've found myself watching a lot of game shows on television lately. This is mostly due to the fact that my parents are so into watching the Game Show Network. I've been watching a lot of Family Feud (I liked it as a kid and I still like it now). Some other shows I like are Catch 21 and Let's Make a Deal. They can't get pretty entertaining.

...Hi there saizo6, Game shows are a bit of therapy for me. By that I mean when I get tired of the awful news stories on television I flip over and find a game show and watch that until I feel better about the world then I go back to the news. I am a fan of the Game Show Network as well. Catch 21 I love, some people are just lucky some are not. Let's Make a Deal is fun, I don't watch that as much. Family Feud I am always watching, either host I find appealing. As I said the shows are like my happy medicine. Thank goodness they are on. Thank you for your response. Take good care.

.....Hi there jazel_juan, I can appreciate your choice not to watch game shows. If they don't hold your attention then it's a waste of your time. What I find about game shows that I like is that they are challenging. Especially those that have questions involved. Each time I watch I find some question that I never heard of before and it becomes a learning experience for me. Game shows become mini-encylopedias in a way for me with a fun element added. Thanks so much for stopping by. Take care.

Number one would have to be Price is Right! I also love Lingo on GSN but I don't think it airs any new episodes anymore.

....Hi there vjohnson08, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy. It's a great place to meet new people and to make friends. I lovvvve the Price is Right. I had to grow into Drew Carey's style, but now I like him as well. He is funny and quite crazy at times. Amazing weight loss on his part. The show is interesting and fun to watch. Not to mention the prizes. It seemns lately that they are making the showcases much more expensive in total price. Interesting. Thanks so much for your response. Take care.
