man is good

Being good must be innate in man. And disasters and crises bring these out in men. I remember a case when a boat sank in Southern Philippines and a nun went back to a cabin to save a sick woman who was trapped inside. The woman was saved but the nun did not make it out in time and died. This thought was brought about by a remark made by a character in a movie Black Hawk Down where a soldier when asked why he still goes back to war when he could stay behind, answered "It is all because of the man next to you." Gives one hope that man is good particularly when all we hear from news nowadays is about the violence and corruption of man. Do you agree with this goodness in man? Thanks for sharing.

I believe that goodness in man is innate, we just have the tendency to be corrupt. But I also do believe that no matter how bad or evil a person can be there's still room for that kindness inside. It's natural in us but sometimes we just don't use it and we don't know at times how to use it. These are stories of unselfish acts that made these goodness in a man to manifest.

Hi sais06. You are right that have man has a tendency to be corrupt. We do have a choice to be one or the other. And i totally agree with you that we have room for that kindness inside. We just need to open that door. Though it may not be easy specially if we are not used to that kindness. Thanks for your response and have a nice day ahead.

What you said is true that we need to open that door of kindness. It will be very difficult if we are already overtaken by our greed and pride that we don't know how to open that door again. Have great too figurativeme.

hi darn lost my response. copy and paste.indeed good ness is innate in all of us. of course the newscasters only give out the sensational bad news that gloomy guses like but one station here in the US does give out good news about people who have helped one other.afather gives a kidney to his adult son so his son has a chance at a full life. a mom who single handedly works two jobs to raise her two small children, a woman who made a soup kitchen out of her own kitchen to feed people out of work. the list goes on and on.on that channel we hear about ordinary people who help in unordinary ways to save lives and help out those who are down on their luck through no fault of their own

I feel there is this goodness in man and much more, it always shames me the way we seem to celebrate the bad instead of the good. It seems to me that if we focused on the good it would grow.
