hello, mylotters, I'm gonna go to USA for my first time, and I'll land in LA first. I got one and half day to wander around, where do you think I think settle down the hotel in light of convenience? and what places do you recommend, and how to get there? Please, dear, I m totally a nut on this~~ And then I'm gonna fly to Orlando FL for some days for some biz staying in Marriott hotel, after which I'll fly to New York, land in JFK airport, how far is it from the up town? I want to experience the real America! Of course I can rent a room in hotel, but is there anyone in NY that can put me up for two nights, Coz I love meet up new people and we can talk lots of stuff~, cultural stuff or books, or American talk shows, or drawings~that'll be much greater. Since I'll be outside in the street during the day, so don't worry that I'll put pressure on you, I need need a couch to crash, and we can talk the whole night, I can tell you stuff here~~in China

When we went out our trip we stayed at the Country Inn. When our friends went to the States they stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. It costs a bit more, but then you can get an idea about what is going on. The other things I cannot help you with though.

Well, of the three cities that you are going to have the opportunity to visit, I've actually never been to any of them. However, I think that between the three cities you will definitely have the opportunity to experience America at it's best. The one thing that I would recommend that you don't miss while you are visiting New York is to catch a Broadway show. I know that if I ever have the opportunity to visit New York City, that is definitely on my must do list.

Hello there. I am very keen on traveling and have been to Los Angeles three times. I know that LAX Airport is very large and so too is Los Angeles itself. I suggest you exchange money to get US dollars then buy something in order to get change. Then you will have the coins needed for the bus. I have stayed in youth hostels and a backpacker hostel on my three different stays in Los Angeles: Santa Monica, Venice Beach and San Pedro areas. I would suggest on your first day you have a look around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. On your second day you could have a walk around at Venice Beach. I haven't yet been to New York but regarding your stay I think you might like to consider couch surfing. I hope that you will have a wonderful trip in America.

It seems to me that you'll be flying over what I consider to be "real" America.

So, you are coming from all the way from China? I don't know much about L.A. since I never been there. I heard the Hollywood boulevard is a place most celebrities hang out there. At Florida, Orlando, needless to say, there is Disney World, one of favorite spot for vacation though. At New York, I don't know, you might search on couchsurfing.com. Where you can find some enthusiastic tour guide from the local area who can hang out with you during the day time or even the night time. Good luck for your trip!

I'm not sure about much of the country outside of Florida, but I can tell you it can be REALLY crowded from all of the tourism we get. Orlando is a great place to visit and if you have the money I'd suggest having some fun at Disney World or Universal Studios. Lots of roller coasters to ride and neat things to see.
