Just came back from seeing Rango. . .

and I thought it was just ok. I love Johnny Depp, and thought the movie would be better since he usually has a hand in the movies he appears in, but this was not one of his best. The story tried to be too many things to too many people, and fell flat, in my opinion. Some of the jokes were over the heads of, and inappropriate for, the pre-teen and younger age set, but the story itself was not challenging enough to keep the interest of most adults. And it was too esoteric to keep the kids entertained. And why did the characters have to be so ugly???? A little cute and cuddly goes a long way in animation for kids, in my opinion. Has anyone else seen Rango?? What did you think?
